1/1/2025 — From the "One Last Hurrah" Department...
As you know, former President Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29 at the age of 100, and condolences have been pouring in from many quarters. He will be missed by many, and even people who may not have been big fans of Carter during his lifetime have been expressing positive sentiments out of respect for the 39th President of the United States.
To the surprise of no one, however, many in the liberal left are openly and capriciously delighting in the fact that it appears this means the U.S. flag over the Capitol will be flying at half-mast the day Donald Trump takes office on January 20. I suppose you could call it one last hurrah for the unmitigated disaster politely referred to as the Biden administration.
Who will not be missed by many.
Reactions here in Taiwan where I live have been mixed, since it was Carter who severed diplomatic ties with Taiwan in 1979 in order to establish them with Communist China—a process which required the U.S. to formally recognize Taiwan as a (renegade) province of the mainland bullies.
For what it's worth, Taiwan doesn't see things that way. Taiwan has been a de facto independent nation since 1949, and has grown accustomed to the scary-sounding saber-rattling they have been forced to listen to ever since then from the western side of the Taiwan Strait.
Although some here admire his accomplishments, the truth is that there are those in Taiwan who to this day see Carter as a naive, back-stabbing traitor who sold Taiwan out to the Communists—and you can hardly blame them for feeling that way. For the majority of people in Taiwan, what happened in 1979 is what they will remember the peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia for.
But at least the Taiwanese don't stoop quite as low as the Iranians, whose sentiments toward the architect of crippling sanctions the U.S. imposed following Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution were summed up recently by an anonymous man in his 50s on the streets of Tehran:
"May he rot in hell."
Now, I admit that Carter may not have been my favorite president of all time, but at least I am reasonably confident that he will be in heaven with all the rest of us born-again believers.
But as far as Trump being inaugurated with the flag at half-mast is concerned, I admit that I'm curious if he'll have anything to say about it in his inaugural address. If I were him, I would simply ignore the flag thing, pay my respects to Carter, and move on to more important issues. You now, go ahead and let all the little swamp rats have their one last hurrah.
And let them play alone in the mud.
1/7/2025 — From the "Hardware on the Mantel" Department...
One of the toughest things about waiting for Donald Trump to take office is having to sit and watch the sickening gyrations of Joe Biden and his failed administration—an administration that, to the relief of millions of Americans and countries all over the world, has entered its final death throes.
Case in point: He just had to do it—he just hadn't quite hit rock bottom yet. Last Saturday, Gibberin' Joe awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Hillary Clinton. Now, it would take me many pages to detail why this is such a nauseating mockery of everything the Medal of Freedom stands for, so I'll cut to the chase and share the reason that stands out as my personal favorite:
• In 2016, Hillary Clinton played a key role in the creation and promulgation of a "dossier" claiming to detail how the Russians had colluded with the Trump campaign, thus supplying him with the needed boost to defeat her in the 2016 election. Hillary's cohorts in the FBI knew it was fake, but continued to push it for all it was worth until it served as the basis for one of two failed attempts at impeaching President Trump.
The lies, schemes, and corruption that have characterized her entire life as a political figure are legendary...so much so that if such things were actually the basis for the Medal of Freedom, I would be heartily congratulating her because the highest civilian award in the United States would certainly be a richly deserved piece of hardware on her mantel.
Of course, they might have to change the name to the Medal of Felondom.
And honorable mention should go to her "body count," or the 40-odd acquaintances and associates of Hillary that have died, been killed, or committed suicide under suspicious circumstances.
On the bright side, however, anytime I hear about some big award like that, my thoughts invariably turn to the bema (aka the judgment seat of Christ). This event will occur in heaven after the Rapture, and all believers will be rewarded for their Spirit-led works that merit reward. Scripture mentions five crowns that will be awarded to believers for various works, and the one that I know I'm going to get is the one for longing for His appearing (2 Tim. 4:8).
I've written about this before—and I can't necessarily prove it conclusively from Scripture, but I am of the opinion that every single believer at the bema will receive something. In other words, I believe no one will walk away from the bema completely empty-handed. I am inclined to believe that the five crowns are not the only rewards available—I tend to think they are just the only ones specifically mentioned.
So, feel free to see yourself being rewarded for all kinds of things you may do or endure in obedience to the Holy Spirit for the glory and honor of Christ. And when we all get to heaven soon and very soon, be prepared to make a little room above the fireplace in your mansion in heaven. While it's likely that our rewards will primarily take the form of enhanced roles and responsibilities in the kingdom, who knows?
We just might have a little hardware to put on the mantel.
1/14/2025 — From the "Death by Death" Department...
As you all know, there has been no shortage of controversy concerning the mRNA COVID vaccines over the last several years. Many have claimed the vaccines were grossly undertested (with certain test results discreetly buried) and recklessly foisted on the public in order for Big Pharma companies like Pfizer and Moderna to cash in and rake in tens of billions of dollars.
Many are convinced the public has been lied to by Big Pharma, various government agencies, and the mainstream media from the very beginning of this entire COVID saga. Hey, the vaccines are safe and effective, didn't ya know...and those lies provided cover for the global effort to push the mRNA vaccines on the whole world.
More recently, however, scarier theories have begun to emerge. As cancer rates in many countries have begun to rise sharply for reasons that remain elusively unclear, some have even gone so far as to blame the mRNA vaccines. But there is never any mention of the vaccines in articles about this worrying increase in cancer rates, right? So surely this must be yet another one of those anti-vax conspiracy theories, right?
Well, if that's what you were hoping for, I'm afraid I've got some bad news:
Turns out it's not a conspiracy theory after all.
Dr. Kevin McKernan is a genomics scientist and founder of Medicinal Genomics, and has recently done groundbreaking research into cancerous tumors. And as a result of what he has found, he is sounding the alarm.
What McKernan has basically done is gene-sequenced a cancerous tumor, and he has discovered that its genetic sequence matches that of Pfizer's mRNA COVID vaccine. To make a long story slightly less long, this essentially represents the first definitive scientific proof that the mRNA vaccines absolutely do cause cancer in vaccinated individuals. John Beaudoin, Sr., an independent vaccine investigator, was a bit more blunt:
"When Kevin McKernan gene-sequenced the tumor [...] and matched the genetic sequence to the Pfizer vaccine, it's freaking over. It's over."
To which McKernan added:
"And we can find components of Pfizer's vaccines inside this thing a year after vaccination."
So there it is: Our worst fears about the mRNA vaccines have been confirmed.
And I fear it's only going to get worse.
As I discuss in an article entitled "A Horse of a Most Peculiar Color," I am of the opinion that the mRNA vaccines will lead to a wave of deaths that will constitute part of the fourth seal judgment, described by John in Revelation 6:7–8 as the rider on a pale or sickly green horse. John tells us that death will come in four forms: (a) the sword, (b) famine, (c) death, and (d) wild animals. And it is the third item that catches one's attention.
Obviously (a), (b), and (d) need no further explanation. But in (c) we have "death by death" (Greek: thanatos). I mean, what's up with that? As I explain in the article I linked to, usage of the Greek word thanatos seems a bit odd here, and leaves a thoughtful reader wondering just exactly what kind of death John is actually talking about. The reason I say that is because it's not the same word he most likely would have used if he had simply meant "disease" or "pestilence" in the usual sense, although that is a legitimate secondary meaning of thanatos. But in other places a different word is used for those.
So just what is John talking about??
As I explain in that article, I am tempted to see John's odd usage of "death by death" as a reference to something he wouldn't have understood in familiar human terms. And I am tempted to see this as a reference to the huge number of deaths that are going to occur in the next few years due to the effects of a vaccine that is, to put it mildly, neither safe nor effective.
Part of me prays I am wrong...but I just can't shake this one off.
Fortunately, I was able to avoid the mRNA vaccine. But one of my wife's high school friends just died a couple of weeks ago following a nearly two-year battle with multiple tumors throughout her body. And according to my wife, she had gotten several mRNA vaccines, like many people in Taiwan.
Is there a connection? Only God knows.
And God also knows that I don't have any plans to get an mRNA COVID vaccine anytime in the foreseeable future.
1/21/2025 — From the "Demented Vitriol" Department...
OK, I can breathe a huge sigh of relief now...we made it past the inauguration without a rogue airstrike on the Capitol or a team of assassins opening fire at Donald Trump. That was what I was halfway expecting, given the demented vitriol that spews forth from Trump haters in Washington. Speaking of demented vitriol, that calls to mind one Nancy Pelosi.
I am greatly pleased to report that Trump did one thing he promised to do on Day One—and God bless him for it—and that is pardon the J6'ers, whose fraudulent four-year incarceration is one of the greatest stains left on America by an equally fraudulent Biden administration.
One of the most succinct and accurate descriptions of what really happened on January 6 is encapsulated in the following meme I stumbled across:
January 6 is the day that
the government staged a riot
to cover up the fact that they
certified a fraudulent election.
As far as events surrounding the 2020 election go, about the only thing Trump could do that would top that—and I'm praying he will at some point—is release and expose to the American public the irrefutable evidence of the fraud that stole that election from him four years ago. Such proof, and it's out there, would be the kryptonite that would melt all the anti-Trump rhetoric pouring forth from the liberal left. The exposure of the undeniable fraud that was implemented in the 2020 election is the one thing the Democrats fear most and have worked the hardest to prevent.
And I hope Trump runs it up the
flag pole on top of the Capitol.
But back to Nancy Pelosi. Following the announcement of Trump's pardoning of the great majority of the J6'ers (about 1,500 people), Nancy Pelosi took advantage of the opportunity to trash the righting of this horrible wrong as only a bought-and-sold, Trump-loathing, left-wing liberal can:
"Tonight, the President announced pardons and commutations of sentences for those who violently attacked the Capitol and law enforcement officers on January 6th. The President's actions are an outrageous insult to our justice system and the heroes who suffered physical scars and emotional trauma as they protected the Capitol, the Congress and the Constitution. It is shameful that the President has decided to make one of his top priorities the abandonment and betrayal of police officers who put their lives on the line to stop an attempt to subvert the peaceful transfer of power. Despite the President's decision, we must always remember the extraordinary courage and valor of the law enforcement heroes who stood in the breach and ensured that democracy survived on that dark day."
And you'll be pleased to know that I managed to stifle the urge to vomit as I copy-and-pasted the above. This is a classic recipe for Democrats in the Biden administration: demented vitriol mixed with a dash of phony patriotism and served with a side dish of deep-fried lies.
Anyway, so it begins. I have no idea how long Trump's second term as president will last, but I certainly hope he is able to undo some of the horrific damage inflicted on this country by the deep-state demons of the Biden admin over the last four years.
And if a few of them end up in prison where they belong, even better.
But the idea of who gets caught really doesn't cause me a great deal of concern. Frankly, I am holding out hope that Trump's second term will end somewhat suddenly, at least for believers. Why? Let me put it this way:
I'm not all that interested in who gets caught—
I'm much more interested in getting caught up.
1/28/2025 — From the "Chicken" Department...
Playing chicken is a great way to get someone to back off, and if done artfully enough it is often successful in achieving the desired reaction from the other side in a conflict. But there are some people that it doesn't work well with, and it tends to backfire. Rather than backing off, they come storming back and shove it down your throat, and you are the one who ends up backing off.
And President Trump is gaining a reputation as being one of those people with whom it tends to backfire.
Case in point: Colombian President Gustavo Petro.
Trump is wasting no time in making good on his promise to start deporting massive numbers of illegal aliens who have waltzed across our southern border during the last four years, and two flights full of illegal Colombian aliens were scheduled to be flown back to Colombia.
But that apparently didn't sit well with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who felt his countrymen weren't being treated with the appropriate level of "dignity" and refused to give permission for the two planes to land in Colombia. He protested that his fellow Colombians were being treated like criminals, and he simply wasn't going to stand for that.
Gosh, what's an American president to do? Well, he could have said:
"OK, well darn, I guess we'll just have to let these freeloading criminals stay in America after all. Nothing I can do."
But Trump didn't say that. Oh no. Trump's response was a little more along the following lines:
"Listen up, Gustavo. These illegal aliens from your country are threatening the national security and public safety of my country, and if you think you can just turn your nose up at them, I've got a news flash for you, hombre. I've got a better idea: How about I slap a 25 percent tariff on all Colombian goods coming into the United States just to give you a little taste, and then let that rise to 50 percent after a week or so. We call those 'sanctions' in English, and trust me—that's just the tip of the iceberg. Oh, and while I'm at it, I think I'll ban all Colombian government officials from entering the United States. Háblame amigo, or do you want some more?"
And in a flash, it was clear who lost this particular game of chicken.
Six minutes later, Petro published a statement on X announcing he would happily accept the Colombian illegals back into Colombia, and even offered the use of his own presidential plane to fly them back (more "dignified," you know). He also reversed his original statement by emphasizing that no Colombian will ever be banished from Colombian territory.
To quote an old McDonald's commercial:
I'm lovin' it.

2/4/2025 — From the "Familiar Paradigm" Department...
As Trump's second term nears the end if its second week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is slated to come to Washington for high-level talks with the newly elected president.
Although the two certainly have many important topics to hash over, the rapidity with which such an important meeting between the two leaders was scheduled surprised many.
But that rapidity speaks to the urgency of some of those topics.
Many of those topics revolve around the war with Hamas and the future of Gaza. Some focus on the fate of remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas—some have begun to be released, but many remain. Other topics revolve around Israel's future in the Middle East and its relationships with other Middle Eastern countries, and the resumption and intensification of efforts such as the Abraham Accords, which sought to encourage other Middle Eastern countries to normalize relationships with Israel—and Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Sudan have done just that.
Another major topic deals with the possibility of a two-state solution. As I have discussed on previous occasions, based on my understanding of Scripture, I am of the opinion that there will in fact be some manner of division of the land God gave His people Israel as an eternal inheritance that angers Him and triggers His final outpouring of judgment on His people for their refusal to trust and obey Him. That final round of God's judgment on His people to purge them—to draw a remnant to faith in their Messiah and destroy those who ultimately continue to reject that Messiah—is one of the fundamental purposes of the seven-year Tribulation that lies in our future (the other would be to judge the nations of the world who have persecuted His people).
Of course I can't be absolutely dogmatic about it, but in my opinion that division of Israel God speaks of in Joel 3:2 is represented by the two-state solution. As a result, I am convinced there will come a time when the two-state solution becomes a reality, and it will quickly lead to the opening of the seal judgments—the judgments that kick off Daniel's 70th Week.
For the last four years and all through Israel's war with Hamas, the Biden administration remained steadfast in their support for a two-state solution, while most in Israel saw with increasing clarity that any type of attempted "peace process" with the terrorists running Gaza was a suicidal exercise in futility, and became increasingly convinced that the two-state solution was nothing but political subterfuge designed to lead to their destruction. Thus many in Israel now see Israeli sovereignty over Gaza and other disputed areas as the only way to guarantee their national security and survival as a nation.
Trump, however, doesn't seem to want to come out strongly in favor of either the two-state solution or the Israeli sovereignty idea, and it appears he may be willing to follow Netanyahu's lead on this issue. That, in spite of the fact that his "Deal of the Century" idea touted during his first term would have led to a "demilitarized" Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria (aka the West Bank).
So at the end of the day, I believe there will be a two-state solution at some point, it isn't clear what sequence of events will lead to it. In other words, we are left with our old familiar prophetic paradigm:
We may know the destination, but we don't
know the exact route we'll take to get there.
2/11/2025 — From the "One Little Word" Department...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu succeeded in getting the Arab world up at arms the other day—at least more up at arms than normal. Netanyahu was being interviewed on Israeli television, and at one point said that Saudi Arabia could create a Palestinian state, noting that they had "a lot of land over there." The interviewer agreed that it was "an idea worth exploring."
Although it's not 100 percent clear to me how genuinely serious Netanyahu was at the moment he made that statement, his words have sparked a fiery backlash from Arab states throughout the Middle East.
Particularly from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry had some choice words for both Netanyahu and the Jewish state he leads:
"The kingdom affirms that the Palestinian people have a right to their land, and they are not intruders or immigrants to it who can be expelled whenever the brutal Israeli occupation wishes."
They also accused Netanyahu of trying to divert attention away from his "crimes," particularly his ongoing "ethnic cleansing" of Gaza.
Right...same old same old. But as I read the Saudi Foreign Ministry's remarks, one little word jumped out at me. One innocent little word that almost slides by unnoticed, and that the entire Arab world casually glosses over and treats as something that isn't even open to question. And that one little word is this:
Their.
As in "their land." As in "the land belonging to the Palestinians."
Uhh...I'm sorry, but what land? Do you mean the Gaza Strip, land that was part of Israel and that was essentially gift-wrapped and handed over to the Palestinians in 2005 by then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in an utterly futile attempt to make peace with them? Or do you mean the West Bank, a part of Israel that the Israelis won back and rightfully reclaimed as a result of their victory in the Six Day War in June 1967?
And you can't possibly mean the entire state of Israel, because that has all belonged to the Jewish people since the days of Abraham. Although they have been temporarily driven from their land on a couple of occasions throughout history, none of that changes the fundamental fact that it is still their land.
There's that word again:
Their.
As in "their land." As in "the land belonging to the Jews."
When Arabs casually talk about "their land" in reference to the Palestinians, they are making an assumption that requires a leap that would make Evel Knievel green with envy—and that leap comes in two parts:
1. They assume the Palestinians are a nation of people who at one time possessed a land.
(They aren't and they never have.)
2. They assume the land they possessed comprises every square inch of what is today the nation of Israel.
(It doesn't because they never did.)
So, wrong on both counts...egregiously so. What are commonly referred to today as the "Palestinians" are actually the descendants of Arab refugees (mostly Syrian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Iraqi, and Egyptian) who lived peacefully in what is today Israel until the establishment of the modern state of Israel in May 1948. Arab leaders urged these people to temporarily evacuate to other areas until they had a chance to attack and destroy the upstart Jewish nation, at which point they could return, help themselves to all the land, and enjoy their newly liberated, Jew-free state.
But the God of Israel had other plans.
With a considerable amount of that God's help, Israel roundly defeated the five surrounding nations that pounced on them the day after they declared independence. And after the 10-month war was over, those Arabs who had voluntarily left Israel at the behest of Arab leaders had nowhere to go.
Them's yer "Palestinians."
Don't take my word for it...do your homework. And it is patently obvious to anyone who knows the pertinent history that these so-called "Palestinians" do not possess a land that is "theirs." But they have been successfully indoctrinated over the last 70-odd years to believe that it really is "their land" and that the evil Zionist occupiers who took it from them need to be destroyed so it can be given back to them.
The point is that this whole idea of speaking of "their land" in regard to the Palestinians is nothing less than pure historical fiction.
The problem is that it's pure historical fiction that has been embellished, gussied up, and foisted upon the entire world as an excuse to carry out the plan of the father of lies: To kill every last Jew. Oh, and take all their land.
There's that word again.
2/18/2025 — From the "Throwing Down the Gauntlet" Department...
The U.S. Department of Education under President Trump is throwing down the gauntlet for every federally funded educational institution in the country, and the message is in no way unclear:
Lose the DEI programs in the next 14 days or lose your federal funding.
Got it?
The Department of Education has sent a letter to all such institutions, spelling out the problems with DEI and laying down the law. Here's a taste:
"Relying on non-racial information as a proxy for race, and making decisions based on that information, violates the law...It would, for instance, be unlawful for an educational institution to eliminate standardized testing to achieve a desired racial balance or to increase racial diversity. Other programs discriminate in less direct, but equally insidious, ways...DEI programs, for example, frequently preference certain racial groups and teach students that certain racial groups bear unique moral burdens that others do not...Such programs stigmatize students who belong to particular racial groups based on crude racial stereotypes. Consequently, they deny students the ability to participate fully in the life of a school...The Department will no longer tolerate the overt and covert racial discrimination that has become widespread in this Nation's educational institutions. (emphasis mine)"
According to the order, any educational institution in the United States receiving federal funds must do the following in the next two weeks in order to continue receiving federal funds:
• Dismantle DEI offices and programming that promote race-based policies.
• End race-based hiring and admissions practices that disadvantage certain groups.
• Cease funding or collaborating with third-party organizations that push DEI initiatives.
• Halt racially segregated graduations, scholarships, and other programs under the guise of inclusion.
(Pardon me while I shout "Hallelujah!")
DEI essentially takes racism, flips it inside out, dresses it up in noble, high-sounding, politically correct language, institutionalizes it, and then applies it to a different group (like, say, otherwise well-qualified straight white males, for example) in ways that gradually degrade the quality and efficacy of the entity in question, be it a high school, a college, or a university.
Or a fire department.
Or an air-traffic control tower.
In other words, DEI institutionalizes racism in order to eliminate racism. They just apply that racism to what is perceived as an "advantaged" group, which makes it politically correct and appear as a laudable push toward the grand goal of social justice.
And for this they expect a hearty part on the back from a woke society.
Of course, what I expect to see in response is institutions suing the Federal Government, or simply changing the name of such programs and burying the practices under the rug where they can be continued under a different guise in a more covert manner.
As we are seeing in regard to many of Trump's efforts to expose and root out waste, fraud, and corruption, Satan doesn't give up easily.
He's got a lot to lose.
But lose it he shall.
2/25/2025 — From the "Anti-Woke" Department...
You might say reading the following news item put me in the mood to explain something, and that is the way in which many people today attack and demonize those who don't go along with all the woke nonsense so many liberals and left-wing types traffic in today.
The View is a television show I have never watched and never will, but I've heard enough about to make it a show I love to hate. Its co-hosts, however, provided me with a wonderful example of the game plan to attack those who are "anti-woke." And that certainly includes yours truly.
According to co-host Sunny Hostin:
"[Being anti-woke means] you don't care about your fellow neighbor, and that is ungodly."
Fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg introduced a clip of the acceptance speech made by political activist Jane Fonda upon receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards. Jane had this to say:
"What we create is empathy. Make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke. And by the way, woke just means you give a d*** about other people, even if they're of a different political persuasion."
And then the following exchange took place:
Whoopi: "So are people going to take the message to heart?"
Sunny: "Yeah, I thought about the conversations you and I have had, Whoopi, so many times about the co-opting of the word woke, and the fact that the right somehow has made it a dirty word. To be woke is a word that came out of the African-American community, and it was about acknowledging social justice inequities, acknowledging people's suffering. It is not a bad thing to care about other people, to care about the sufferings of others, and to act upon it...So it angers me when people are, like, this woke stuff's got to go. That's telling me you don't care about my lived experience. You don't care about the oppression of the LGBTQ community. You don't care about the oppression of the disabled. You don't care about the oppression of immigrants. You don't care about your fellow neighbor, and that is ungodly. That is not Christian."
In other words:
If you're anti-woke, you aren't a Christian.
Some of you may be rubbing your chin, wondering, "How in heaven's name did she get there?!" Well, here's how:
First, they connect "woke" with its real and admittedly noble origin: The Black community's rising awareness of racial inequalities and the need for social justice in the United States. And most would agree that's a good thing.
Then they take that basic idea and slather it with heaping helpings of glowing generalities, until being woke means things like caring about other people; caring about the suffering of other people; caring about the oppression of any group of people anywhere engaging in any kind of activities or holding to any system of beliefs.
The next step is to apply these glowing generalities to whatever left-wing liberal nonsense they jolly well please, and claim if you don't support it, you are against all these glowing generalities! And obviously if you are against all these glowing generalities, you must be a horrible person.
Finally, if someone is a Christian, they believe in God and that means they should be godly. But obviously a horrible person isn't godly, and so certainly cannot be a Christian.
BINGO.
The end result is that the liberal left has succeeded in mutating the definition of the word "woke" to mean that someone is in full agreement with and gushingly supports every perverted, lunatic idea the liberal left puts forth. For example:
• That men pretending to be women should be allowed to win medals and championships in women's sports, and be lauded as brave pioneers.
• That elementary school children should be indoctrinated to believe they might actually be a member of the opposite gender born in the wrong body, and thus be subject to "gender affirming care" to twist their minds and mutilate their bodies before they reach the age where their natural, God-given feelings will teach them everything they need to know about the gender business.
• That the heroes of Hamas are fighting the evil Zionist oppressors who are occupying their land and deserve full U.S. support, and that we should punish and desert Israel for having the gall to actually defend itself.
• That huge waves of illegal immigrants from any country you care to name should be allowed to stroll into America, be generously provided for with your tax-payer dollars, and be allowed to commit whatever crimes they are inclined to commit without legal repercussions.
And so forth and so on. That's what "woke" has come to mean today, and the way it has come to be clearly understood by Americans on both sides of the political fence.
So when you accuse those who see right through all this garbage and criticize them for being "anti-woke," you are the one who is co-opting the word "woke" and using it as a dirty word with all its current, perverted meanings, along with all the glowing generalities that have been slyly attached to it.
But the truth is that "woke" was not a dirty word originally. The glowing generalities are wrong: It never meant that someone simply cares about other people or their suffering. It never meant that someone simply cares about your "lived experiences." It never meant that someone simply cares about the oppression of any group of people, even those in the LGBT community (we just don't want it shoved down our throats, wrongly sanctioned as being normative, and secretly pushed on our innocent children).
That way, according to Sunny Hostin and others like her, if you are "anti-woke" and don't approve of all the insidious trash that has come to be connected to being woke, you are ungodly and not a Christian.
And this all makes perfect sense...to the co-hosts of The View.
But not to this anti-woke Christian.

3/4/2025 — From the "Stop or I'll...Jump" Department...
You hear so many ridiculously stupid things coming out of California that you almost get numb to it, but this item caused a blip on my stupidity radar.
A bill has been introduced in the California state government by Democratic Caucus Chair Rick Chavez Zbur that would make some changes to the state's justifiable homicide laws, and it could summarized as follows:
The bill would require California homeowners to "exhaust every reasonable possibility to escape" before confronting a home invader with deadly force. Otherwise, that homeowner may be faced with a charge of homicide.
Let this sink in for a moment: Let's say you are a homeowner who takes the Second Amendment seriously, and have made the decision to legally purchase a gun with which to protect yourself, your home, and your family. (Personally, I hate guns and will never own one—I'm just being hypothetical here.) Under this California law, presumably you would have to calculate your odds of surviving a jump out the window before using that gun to protect your home and your family. And if you didn't and you did, you'd be charged with murder.
Say it with me:
That's stupid.
Actually, calling it stupid is being kind. You don't have to be the sharpest shuriken in the knapsack to see that this law would give strategic advantage to criminals who seek to steal, kill, and destroy, while hamstringing the rights of law-abiding homeowners who want nothing more than to protect themselves, their homes, and their families from those criminals.
Another member of California's state government (one of the saner ones), Assemblyman David Tangipa of California's 8th District, put it this way:
"So the homeowner would have to determine within seconds or whatever, why a stranger suddenly showed up inside their house at any given hour before they could safely do anything to defend themselves...They would have to exercise all other options of, oh, well, you could have just run away. You could have jumped out the window...Before using your deadly force to protect yourself in your own home, or protect your family, you have to prove that it was necessary to shoot somebody who broke into your house, and how do you prove that? If that person has a bat, I almost have to allow them to hit me first to then prove that they had the intent to kill me, and that is unacceptable. And not only that, it steps on our 2nd amendment rights. If you can't be safe in your own home, where can you flee to?"
The point is well made, and makes the stupidity of the bill manifest.
Of course, when I used the phrase "steal, kill, and destroy" above, it reminded me of the real home invader, and that's our Adversary, Satan. He's the one who originated that modus operandi:
The thief [i.e. Satan] only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
(John 10:10 / emphasis & [comments] added)
We also know that Satan prowls the earth, seeking whom he may devour (1 Pet. 5:8). As he does so, I have often wondered if he has any special hangouts or pit stops somewhere on earth that he prefers. Maybe a field office or a demonic administrative bureau or whatever.
If he does, my money is on California as a prime location.

Many are still buzzing about President Trump's address to a joint session of Congress this past week—in both good ways and bad ways.
Frankly, however, from all indications it's mostly good ways. The Democrats acted like a bunch of whiny, childish brats during Trump's address, and even some loyal Democrats are coming out against what the Dems put on display during Trump's speech and are drawing a proverbial line in the sand. They are so appalled at what they are seeing from a political party that boasts the likes of Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy in its proud history that they are calling it quits and switching sides. They have reached the point where they are gasping in disbelief and muttering to themselves:
Who are these people?!
And they are coming to the inevitable conclusion that whoever they are, they certainly don't represent them.
Case in point: Mark Halperin is the founder of interactive media platform "2Way Tonight," and he recently hosted a podcast during which he shared an email he had received from a woman who described herself and her entire family as lifelong Democrats who did not vote for Trump. And her words clearly reveal what the Democratic party is foolishly doing to itself:
"Last night for me was my breaking point...I'm switching parties. It's been coming for a while, but that was the moment for me...I have not been able to come to terms with what I witnessed from Democrats last night. It was surreal. It was like an episode of Scooby Doo where they pull off the masks and show you who the villains are...I literally couldn't sleep last night. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm done. As a woman, a mother, as a HUMAN, I'm just done...They don't represent me anymore, or who I am. I can finally admit to myself that despite my personal dislike of Trump, I begrudgingly admit I support some of what he is actually doing...frankly I don't even know what they stand for now except the right to choose (which is no longer enough) and men having the right to invade what were once my personal spaces...I'm flabbergasted at myself but it feels like a relief to admit all of this. I can't say I'm MAGA...but I know now after last night I am no longer a Democrat."
And one can't help but wonder how many Democrats around the country feel something along the same lines...and no one can blame them. And let me add that such people have my utmost respect: There just comes a time when sensible, rational people have to stand up and say "Enough is enough."
And now appears to be one of those times.
3/25/2025 — From the "Pop Quiz" Department...
OK students, put away your books and take out a pencil and a sheet of paper...time for a pop quiz:
Q. How do you get a major university to stop actively fostering anti-Semitism and allowing students to disrupt campus life by staging violent anti-Israel, pro-Hamas demonstrations?
If you don't know the answer to this one, never fear—the Trump administration does. The answer to the above question is surprisingly simple:
A. Revoke $400 million in grants to the school until they comply with orders to put a stop to this nonsense.
And it got the desired attention of Columbia University. Its president, Prof. Katrina Armstrong, agreed to a set of conditions that include mandatory anti-Semitism training for staff, expanding Columbia University's academic presence in Israel, banning the wearing of masks on campus that were de rigueur at anti-Israel, pro-Hamas demonstrations, and implementing direct oversight of the Middle Eastern Studies department.
In addition, students who participate in protests inside academic buildings or designated study areas will now be in violation of university policies, and could face severe disciplinary measures that include suspension or expulsion. This was connected with the Trump administration's claim that the university failed to take sufficient measures to prevent events such as the takeover of Hamilton Hall by protesters in April 2024.
What saddens me the most about all this, however, is the way Satan sneaks in and influences the thinking of otherwise intelligent young people with lies that paint the Jewish people as evil Zionist oppressors who are illegally occupying land that belongs to the poor, oppressed Palestinians, and so the Jews need to be removed...and killed while we're at it.
But little do these naive, impassioned students realize that the whole Palestinian narrative is a lie from the father of lies, and its single, solitary goal is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth as per Old Testament prophecy.
Exactly where in Old Testament prophecy?
That may be on the next pop quiz.

In Gaza, attacks continue as both a ceasefire agreement and the release of more Israeli hostages remain elusive. But we are seeing something recently that we haven't seen much of in the past, and it is getting attention.
Terrorist group Hamas "rules" Gaza, but instead of working for the benefit of the civilian population they rule, instead they merely use these people for their own self-serving purposes. Gazan civilians are indoctrinated to support Hamas and support their maniacal efforts to destroy Israel, no questions asked. They are used as human shields for the operations of Hamas, as schools and hospitals are routinely used to hide weapons and control centers that Israel has no choice but to target.
Any Gazan who openly protests against Hamas is seen as a despicable traitor and a Zionist sympathizer, and is liable to be imprisoned.
Or worse.
Odai al-Rabei was a 22-year-old Gazan lad who joined in an anti-Hamas protest recently. Afterwards, Hamas henchmen captured Odai, took him away and tortured him, killed him, and then dragged his lifeless body before dumping it at his parents' home.
But for Hamas, it seems the idea of pouring gasoline on the fire rings true.
It appears that all Hamas has succeeded in doing is pushing the Gazan civilian population too far. They have had enough. Enough of the lies. Enough of the senseless violence. Enough of the exploitation.
Enough of Hamas eating their young.
And as a result, such anti-Hamas protests and demonstrations are increasing even more than they already were, not decreasing as Hamas planned. Now the backlash is spreading and intensifying.
The growing resistance to Hamas on the part of the Gazan population has been growing, and is beginning to boil over. The Gazans are desperate, and see no recourse but to speak out.
At the same time, President Trump's ideas about "voluntary resettlement and economic revival" are catching on. Polls are showing that over half of the Gazan population wants to leave Gaza and resettle somewhere—anywhere—else, primarily just to get away from the demonic monsters of Hamas.
So it seems the region of Gaza could be nearing a historic shift, and we can only pray that this shift spells doom for the demons.

In spite of all the scary-sounding war rhetoric spewing forth from Iranian leaders, Iran is clearly sweating a direct military confrontation with the United States. Or with Israel.
Take your pick: Either one would be Iran's worst nightmare come true.
The bluster coming from Iran is due in large part to the devastating attacks by Israel in the last few months that have destroyed the powerful air-defense batteries that protected their nuclear weapons facilities, leaving them dangerously exposed to attack. And the Trump administration is taking measures to ensure Israel remains well-supplied with the weapons it needs for any future attacks.
And said administration is crippling Iran with sanctions.
Oh, but now—surprise, surprise—Iranian leaders want to talk.
And whaddya know...it's the same old song and dance that Iran and its proxies and pawns have always pulled, from Hamas to Mahmoud Abbas. And how does that song go? Nod if these lyrics ring a bell:
First, give us everything we want
and then we'll agree to talk. M'kay?
Doo-dah, doo-dah. Fair enough? Just give us complete relief from those nasty old sanctions that are having their desired effect and we'll talk till the camels...er, cows come home. I mean, we're totally for negotiations and all that—just take away all those sanctions and everything will be hunky-dory.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had these high-sounding, lopsidedly self-serving words to say:
"In principle, direct negotiations with a party that continuously threatens violence, violates the UN Charter, and whose various officials issue contradictory statements would be meaningless. Nevertheless, we remain devoted to finding a diplomatic solution and are prepared to pursue the negotiation pathway."
Uhm...I'm sorry, Mr. Araghchi, but could you repeat that? Those thundering chants of "Death to Israel! Death to America!" in the background drowned out what you were saying.
4/15/2025 — From the "Same Old Song and Dance Redux" Department...
The tag line of last week's Commentary entry was "Same Old Song and Dance," and I could have used the same line for this one:
Extra, extra...read all about it! Ex-Pentagon official claims a secret group within the U.S. government is concealing evidence of the fact that aliens are out there, and that alien spacecraft are visiting earth!
Same old song and dance. It's just like I've discussed on previous occasions: Every few months there's an intriguing item in the mainstream media related to aliens, alien spacecraft, crashes of these alien spacecraft, the government concealing evidence of aliens and such crashes, ad infinitum, ad insania.
The pattern is clear: Typically no substantive information is revealed—it's just rumors about so-and-so from the intelligence community coming forward about how such-and-such government agency is hiding photos or videos of some anomalous craft and demanding transparency from the government in regard to what they know and won't reveal—just enough to keep the UFO/alien narrative percolating in the back of the public's mind.
First of all, know one thing: It's all a lie. There are no aliens out there flying around in their fancy spacecraft visiting our little planet and conveniently crashing on a regular basis—and nobody on earth is in possession of genuine physical evidence of such a thing. And the fact that it's a lie should clue us in as to who is behind all of this:
The father of lies.
It is crystal clear to me that Satan is planning to make use of the whole UFO/alien shtick in his efforts to establish and rule his kingdom during the Tribulation, and I am convinced that the first major step will be to use it as the basis of his explanation for the Rapture as he attempts to lure the world away from the Bible's explanation.
As I have discussed in a previous article, I believe that's why Satan can't play the UFO/alien card too soon. He doesn't know when the Rapture will take place, and he has to wait until it actually occurs before he can use it as an effective explanation for the sudden disappearance of several hundred million people from the face of the earth.
So if Satan is smart (and he is), he will just keep the notion of aliens visiting earth in the back of the world's consciousness with occasional news items like this so he can put his plan into action when the trumpet sounds. That will maximize its efficacy and maximize the percentage of the world's population that will fall for it and fall in line with his program.
So just remember the following fact whenever you see an intriguing news item about whistle blowers coming forward pleading with the government to come clean with the American public about the "evidence" of extraterrestrials, their spacecraft, and their nefarious activities that they have supposedly been hiding from the American public for the nearly eight decades:
There are conspiracy theories and there are lies:
The UFO/alien narrative is that second one.
And more importantly, keep one other thing firmly in mind:
It's a reminder that the Rapture is looming on the horizon.
4/22/2025 — From the "Wait and See" Department...
According to a leaked report published by the New York Times recently, President Trump blocked Israel's intentions to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons facilities so that negotiations for some type of deal with Iran could proceed. As a result, some are cheering, some are howling, and some are saying not so fast—wait until you see what Trump is up to.
Although some are praising what appear to be Trump's noble intentions at peaceful negotiations as opposed to military strikes, others are decrying what they perceive as naive capitulation on Trump's part that will effectively throttle Israel's efforts to defend its very existence. They think what Trump is doing is stupid. It appears to them that Trump is on the road to yet another toothless nuclear deal with an Iranian regime that is 100 percent guaranteed to ignore such a deal's terms and continue their push to develop nuclear weapons unabated, precisely as they did under Obama's toothless nuclear deal that Trump wisely scrapped.
But still others are saying with calm reassurance:
"You just wait and see."
They are telling people to watch Trump work, because he knows what he's doing. According to such people, Trump is still keenly aware of Iran's true intentions, and how unlikely it is they would adhere to the terms of any deal. He knows full well what kind of snakes the Iranian leaders truly are.
According to reports, the Iranian regime is rubbing their hands in glee—they think they're winning, because any such conflict between the U.S. and Israel is Iran's dream come true. The Iranians were sweating bullets after Trump took office—and rightly so, but now they're getting their swagger back.
But you just wait and see, they say. Wait until you see what Trump is going to demand from the Iranians—things that will make them scream and cry and that they will never agree to, and the talks will collapse in a few weeks. According to these people that's the real goal: Bring a relieved Iran to the negotiating table and make them think they're gonna get what they want (as they did with nincompoops Barack Obama and John Kerry), go through the motions of peaceful negotiations, and then chop their legs off, let the talks go up in flames, let the world see it as Iran's fault, and then tell Israeli pilots to don their flight suits—which is what Israel has been itching to do for years.
Obviously I don't have any kind of inside track on any of this, but frankly I am inclined to believe this last bit about Trump being fully prepared to see such talks collapse, and to ultimately turn Israel loose on Iran's nuclear weapons facilities (if not aid such an attack outright).
It's just that whether you love him or hate him, Trump has proven to his detractors time and time again that he is neither naive nor stupid—and entering into another toothless nuclear deal with Iran would be both.
So, I'm willing to wait and see.
4/29/2025 — From the "Ace in the Hole" Department...
It appears that some interesting things are percolating in the wake of the death of Pope Francis and as the world awaits the confirmation of a new pope, and it is my considered opinion that one of those things that is percolating has clear, direct bearing on the coming Tribulation.
Steve Bassett is the executive director of Paradigm Research Group. According to its website:
"PRG was established in July of 1996 by Stephen Bassett, a political activist and consultant, to advocate in all ways possible for an end to a government imposed truth embargo of the facts surrounding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race—Disclosure."
Long story short, he's a major league "The Truth Is Out There" type. And Bassett has used the death of Pope Francis as an opportunity to urge the Vatican to finally "reveal the truth" about what the Roman Catholic Church knows about UFOs and aliens. According to Bassett, the Roman Catholic Church knows about UFOs and has hidden in its vast archives documented evidence of their existence and interaction with humans.
However, Bassett has stated that he actually doesn't believe the new pope will do that. According to Bassett:
"This is a political matter to be resolved through political action...I do not think that the next pope is going to be selected on the fact that he's a pro ET. It's got to be the heads of state—and we are very close to that happening."
Bassett believes it will be Trump who finally spills the beans about UFOs, and says that the president's recent declassification of JFK files points to the distinct possibility that the long-awaited disclosure of UFOs and aliens could be on the way. According to Bassett:
"The truth is coming. We've got to get ready."
OK, just to get our feet firmly back on terra firma: There are no aliens, there are no alien spacecraft visiting and conveniently crashing on earth, and nobody is hiding physical evidence of either one because neither exists. The only reason this sort of stuff is of interest to me is because I am convinced that the UFO/alien narrative (read: lie) is going to play a key, fundamental role during the Tribulation and the establishment of the Antichrist's kingdom, which is a topic I have written about at length (see this, this, and this).
But since the first critical thing Satan is going to use the UFO/alien narrative for is to explain away the Rapture his way, he can't play the alien card too soon. If he were to play the disclosure card prematurely and then it turns out that it's several more years before the Rapture, it would lose its power and efficacy.
Satan understands that he needs to wait until the world has been turned upside down and shaken to its core in the wake of the Rapture and is screaming for answers, and then reveal how a benevolent alien race has actually been monitoring us and has come to help mankind get through the coming earth changes (i.e. the judgments of the Tribulation) and to help us "evolve spiritually" to prepare for the New World that is on the horizon. And they have just evacuated several hundred million people who simply weren't ready for that "spiritual evolvement" thing to a huge fleet of nearby spacecraft where they can be patiently and lovingly "retrained" before rejoining the rest of us in that wonderful New World.
So, to put it quite simply, I am convinced that the growing pressure to disclose the "evidence" for UFOs and aliens effectively serves as a crude type of barometer for the nearness of the Rapture.
Aliens are Satan's ace in the hole.
But even though Satan is going to play his cards to the best of his ability, he is still going to lose this hand to the One who deals the cards.

The month of June is Pride Month, and it is a month that Americans can expect to have six-colored rainbows emblazoned on everything in sight and endless parades of pink-haired people of ambiguous gender marching through every city in the country.
(I mention the six-color thing because the gay rainbow only has six colors, while God's rainbow has seven. The LGBT folks left out one key color.)
Color me surprised.
Up until this year, corporate sponsorship for this full-blown assault on American society had been growing, as companies jumped on the LGBT bandwagon for whatever reason—presumably because they assumed it made them more popular with most average Americans and so made sense in terms of profit. That's where most things like this end with corporate America: $$$.
But this year has been a radical departure from this trend, as many corporations are greatly reducing or flat out canceling such generous financial support for Pride Month and all its attendant activities. This loss of support—which has all the appearances of a solid and growing trend—is leaving the LGBT community scrambling to find other more grassroots-oriented ways to raise money. To which I offer the following heartfelt rejoinder:
Good luck with that.
Of course, if companies jumped on the LGBT bandwagon because they thought it would make them more popular with most average Americans, the fact that they are jumping off that bandwagon sends largely the same message:
It seems that it is beginning to dawn on corporate America that most average people in this country are sick and tired of having the LGBT agenda shoved down their throats everywhere they go, and having their children indoctrinated to support what the majority of people see as a perversion that needs to be kept in check rather than proudly paraded down every Mainstreet in America.
Ya think? I was considering giving you a list of major corporations that have canceled or curtailed their support for Pride Month, but the list is just too long. Suffice to say that it reads like a Who's Who of corporate America.
Of course, as a born-again believer who understands that God's Word clearly and unambiguously condemns homosexual activity as sin, I can't help but find this encouraging. But at the same time, I also know that God's Word clearly and unambiguously tells us this sin-sick world is on track for His judgment, and taking down a few six-colored rainbow flags and seeing fewer parades of pink-haired people of ambiguous gender marching down the streets certainly isn't going to change that.
But that fact doesn't make diminishing support for something as offensive and revolting as Pride Month any less encouraging.
5/13/2025 — From the "Mexican Standoff" Department...
According to a recent news report, President Trump will meet with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Syrian President Abu Muhammed al-Julani in Saudi Arabia. This meeting was reportedly proposed by Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed bin Salman (aka MBS), and the media buzz is that MBS expects to receive approval from Trump for the formation of a Palestinian state. According to MBS, this would be "one of the most important and greatest achievements of Saudi diplomacy."
(I'll let the roaring cheers die down before I continue...)
Saudi Arabia has sought assistance from the U.S. in advancing their civilian nuclear program, and Trump had made the Saudis' normalization of ties with Israel a precondition for such assistance. But the Saudis insist that Israel's agreement to establish a Palestinian state is a precondition for normalizing ties with Israel, so you might say the situation had morphed into something resembling a Mexican standoff.
But now, Trump has reportedly dropped his requirement for the Saudis to normalize ties with Israel, a change that came as he prepares for a diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, a nuclear cooperation deal with the Saudis remains elusive, since the Saudis are expressing reluctance to accept restrictions on uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing, both key elements in the pursuit of nuclear weapons.
Of course, Israel is adamantly opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state because they are smart enough to know what kind of people they are dealing with—and they are not the kind of people who seek to live in peace in their own independent state lying side by side an independent Jewish state. On the contrary. Israel is keenly aware that the Palestinians seek only the destruction of Israel, and will stoop to the lowest levels of deception, treachery, and connivery to achieve that goal.
Be aware, however, of what the mainstream media tends to do these days. There have been several instances lately where the media reports on something that is scantily confirmed (if at all) and deliberately tries to spin it in a way that creates the misleading illusion of conflict or disagreement between the U.S. and Israel. Not saying this thing about the potential for U.S. approval of a Palestinian state is another case of that, but I confess it does bear the distinct odor of such.
One key question, of course, is whether or not Trump is actually naive enough to approve the formation of a Palestinian state against the wishes and best interests of Israel. Is he? Although I support him, I have to admit that Trump could possibly be that naive, God bless his eschatologically ignorant heart.
I say that because I believe Scripture makes it clear that there will in fact be such a division of the land of Israel, and it will be part of the treaty that launches the most intense period of judgment the world will ever know.
And I sincerely hope it's not the case, but no one can deny the possibility that God has placed Trump in a position to give the two-state solution some increased momentum to help it ultimately become reality at the hands of the individual who will become the Antichrist (which Trump isn't). But even if that's true, I can't really say it would break my heart. Why?
Because that would conceivably place the Rapture close enough that even if Trump really does figure out a way to run one more time in 2028, I won't vote for him again because I. Won't. Be. Here.

My, what an uplifting breath of fresh air!
Four years too late, but still a breath of fresh air.
Oklahoma School Superintendent Ryan Walters has directed schools in his state to teach classes in which students will be asked to analyze the results of the 2020 election and study many of the statistical anomalies that occurred that resulted in Joe Biden's installation as president.
Of course, all lunatic conspiracy theories according to the liberal left.
In fact, even a large number of conservative Republicans have long since thrown in the towel on the election fraud of 2020, and acquiesced to the lies and the vehement denials of the Democrats. Personally, I devoted a lot of time and effort in the months following the 2020 election to studying some of the things that occurred, and ever since then there hasn't been the smallest shred of doubt in my mind:
America got conned in 2020, and a phony prezzzident was fraudulently installed in place of the actual winner.
I don't care who says what. I don't care who believes what. I don't care how many people label me a right-wing conspiracy theorist.
Facts are facts, and the facts of what occurred in the 2020 election are absolutely damning to the Democrats. Actually, I misspoke:
We're not talking about statistical anomalies.
We're talking about statistical impossibilities.
According to Walters:
"The standards do not instruct students on what to believe; rather, they encourage critical thinking by inviting students to examine real events, review publicly available information, and come to their own conclusions...The left has been pushing left-wing indoctrination in the classroom...We're moving it back to actually understanding history...and I'm unapologetic about that."
All I can say is "It's about time."
It's about time Americans began to be forced to look at the facts of the 2020 election fraud, and I admit I've been looking forward to something like this ever since Trump got elected this time around. I pray such exposure continues and expands, because all Americans deserve to know the truth...whether they like it or not, whether they agree with it or not.
To the surprise of no one, the liberal left is whining and squirming. According to left-wing teachers and parents:
"(Oklahoma's proposed standards of instruction) represent a distorted view of social studies that intentionally favors an outdated and blatantly biased perspective."
Ahh, yes..."a distorted view"..."an outdated and blatantly biased perspective." You know, I gotta hand it to 'em: Left-wing liberals who would make such comments certainly know a thing or two about "distorted views" and "blatantly biased perspectives."
So, may God bless and protect you, Mr. Walters. Given the mindset of many Americans, both Democrat and Republican, you'll need it.
For the record, I consider it a badge of honor to be called a conspiracy theorist by left-wing liberals, because I understand what it really means. What they are really saying is something along the following lines:
"SHUT UP!! You have no right to speak the
truth and expose our lies and deception!!"
This reminds me how wonderful it will be when Christ returns to establish His kingdom, and how refreshing it will be to live in a world where lies and deception are under wraps in a way we can't currently imagine, rather than being stock-in-trade in our both our government and our society.
And when that day comes—and it's coming sooner than many suppose, I already know what I'm going to say:
It's about time.
5/27/2025 — From the "And the Beat Goes On" Department...
Spain recently hosted a meeting of 20 European and Arab nations in Madrid with the goal of pressuring Israel to halt its Gaza offensive and discuss the idea of moving forward with the idea of creating a two-state solution.
Considered in isolation, this might not be all that big a deal. Just more talk—same old same old. But this is not an isolated event—it is part of a larger, more comprehensive push to finally impose the two-state solution on Israel.
And this time they just may be serious.
The reason I say that is because in mid-June the United Nations will hold a high-level conference on the two-state solution in New York, hosted by Saudi Arabian and French leaders. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa expressed hope that President Trump would attend this conference, since according Mustafa the U.S. is "an important stakeholder in the Middle East."
And the siren song is getting cranked up like never before:
"We've got to bring peace and stability to the region."
Ah, yes...peace and stability. Hmm...that rings a bell:
1But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. 2For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. 3For when they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
(1 Thessalonians 5:1–3 / emphasis added)
We know the destruction mentioned here is coming during the Tribulation, and we are more or less in the lead-up to it. And no topic on earth is more closely related to peace and safety today than the issue of imposing a two-state solution on Israel. That's the ticket to peace in the Middle East.
I groaned when I read some of the things said by those in attendance at this conference, because they clearly communicate the true intentions of world leaders. For example, according to Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares:
"Spain is going to propose here in Madrid today that there should be a major movement to recognise the Palestinian State. Again, not against the State of Israel, but in favour of the two-state solution." (emphasis added)
In other words, we plan to cut Israel into two indefensible halves and hand it over to terrorists who are sworn to Israel's annihilation...oh, but this is in no way against Israel...oh no. It's for the wonderful two-state solution that will bring peace to the Middle East!
He also assured the world that the group would certainly take into account the peace and security of Israel.
Whew...well that's a load off.
Translation: Israel. Is. Toast. =XD
For the record, I am convinced that there will in fact be a two-state solution imposed on Israel, possibly as part of the treaty of Daniel 9:27 that launches the Tribulation. Obviously I don't know what will transpire in June in New York, but I don't think it will the full monty right off the bat...we're not quite there yet, in my opinion.
Rather, it appears likely that a plan is in the works to establish some kind of framework that will lead to such a two-state solution in the foreseeable future...a plan that will be "confirmed" or fully implemented by the Antichrist in the treaty that kicks off the Tribulation in the not-too-distant future.
So for now, it's like the song says: "And the beat goes on..."

This is one of those occasions when something in the news just brightened my day and reminded me there are still people in the world who have a lick of common sense and the simple courage to stand for the painfully obvious truth that so many today cannot or will not grasp.
At the Oregon State Women's Track & Field Championships held in Eugene, Oregon this past weekend, the high jump event was won by a transgender male who was allowed to compete with the girls.
But when the top finishers stood on a row of platforms to receive their awards, two of those girls wanted no part of it.
Alexa Anderson and Reese Eckard, who finished third and fourth respectively, stood on their appropriate platforms with the others at the beginning of the award ceremony. But suddenly both of them jumped off their platforms and then simply walked away in protest, ignoring the pleading of an official trying to herd them back to the platforms.
This is the first year this competition has allowed transgender males to compete against girls, and the "winner" was a boy who had competed in this event with other boys in 2023 and 2024. (And I haven't researched it, but I'd be willing to bet you a week's pay he never placed higher than either of the two girls who jumped off their platforms in protest.)
Oregon will now likely face an investigation into their refusal to comply with President Trump's policy of not allowing men to compete in women's sports, and the America First Policy Institute has already filed a complaint under Title IX against Oregon's policy of allowing such a violation.
Of course, there have been other such actions taken by women in various sports, such as when fencer Stephanie Turner took a knee in protest of being forced to compete against a transgender man in a collegiate competition in Maryland earlier this year.
Well, all I can say is this:
You go, girls! I am one of the millions of Americans who are on your side and fully support your actions. I am proud to be among those who applaud and honor you for being the champions you truly are.
I confess that I have a secret fantasy related to this whole ludicrous and satanically inspired idea of men competing in women's sports, and I may as well share it with you:
It's a major women's track and field competition and they are about to start the 400 meters. Among the women competing, there is one transgender male starting in the lead position of the staggered start along with them. The gun goes off, and the transgender runner gets a good jump and goes speeding off down the track.
But every single one of the other competitors, all of whom are women, don't move. They rise from their crouched starting positions and just stand there, and then gather and begin chatting and laughing as the transgender male is flying down the track.
As the crowd looks on in disbelief, the transgender runner—although he is excited to be in the lead—slowly begins to realize something isn't right. And as he races toward toward the finish line, the laughing girls begin pumping their fists and cheering him on:
"Run, sweetie, run!! YAY!! Come on, honey...you're w-i-n-n-i-n-g!!"
I'm being silly, I know...but it would be an awesome thing to witness, and would certainly be worth the ticket price.
However, when I said allowing men to compete in women's sports is "satanically inspired," I wasn't being silly.
I was being dead serious.
6/10/2025 — From the "Time Is Running Out" Department...
He had me worried there for a while.
Up until recently, I was beginning to grow a bit concerned that President Trump might actually be naive enough to get sucked into the same black hole that his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama willfully got sucked into. (Got "sucked into"?! Good grief...he's the one who dug that hole to begin with!)
Of course, the black hole of which I speak is the fool's errand of making any kind of meaningful nuclear deal with Iran that they would honestly adhere to and that was intended to prevent them from developing nuclear weapons.
From the outset, many believed Trump was going through the formal motions of "negotiating" with Iran, knowing Iran would never agree to his strident demands and that the talks would fail. Then Iran's nuclear weapons facilities would be fair game—only with all avenues having been pursued. I believed that initially, but as time went on I slowly began to have my doubts.
Well, a recent news story had me breathing a sigh of relief.
Trump is rightly accusing Iran of "slow-walking" its nuclear-related decisions in order to buy time in their race toward a bomb, and to the surprise of no one Iran is rejecting some of Trump's demands meant to keep them honest and non-nuclear. And to the relief of many (this writer included), Trump's last message to Iran is short but not so sweet:
"Time is running out."
Trump is also ramping up sanctions meant to root out and chop the legs out from under Iran's international "shadow banking network" that serves to covertly fund terrorist groups, activities, and infrastructure in various countries, all while effectively robbing the hard-working people of Iran.
According to a senior White House official:
"This is a final window for diplomacy...The President has made clear that all options remain on the table if Iran refuses to change course."
And I trust you understand what one of those options is:
The destruction of Iran's nuclear weapons facilities.
To that end, Trump clearly and unambiguously reiterated the stance that Israel has been maintaining for a number of years:
"We will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon. Not on my watch."
Such strikes would be carried out by Israel's IDF, with or without the approval of President Trump. However, it appears to be leaning a bit more toward that first option, just as it did before the current talks with Iran got started.
But as always, we'll see how God intends to play this hand. Personally, I am inclined to believe that at some point Israel actually will carry out strikes to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons facilities, and that this attack will serve to spur the move toward the attack of Gog Magog.
As I'm sure you know, the attack of Gog-Magog is when Russia, Iran, Turkey, and several Northern African nations gather together to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, only to be decimated by the hand of a God who fights for His people. In so doing, God will turn His face back to them so He can purge them and draw a believing remnant to Him prior to His return to establish the kingdom He promised them so long ago.
And not to be dogmatic or anything, but it makes good scriptural sense to me that His intervention in Gog-Magog would come after the Rapture of the Church. Why? Because at that point, God will have finished His dealings with the Church while we are on earth and so He will be ready to switch His attention back to the redemption of His people Israel.
But know this: God's Word is shouting at us as we wait in active anticipation of being caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and it's shouting the same thing Trump is clearly and emphatically communicating to Iran:
"Time is running out."
6/17/2025 — From the "It's Still On" Department...
As I'm sure you know, the Biggest Story on the Planet right now is Israel's crushing attack on Iran and its nuclear weapons facilities.
On the night of Friday, June 13, Israel launched a surprise attack that took out a significant portion of Iran's nuclear facilities, along with a few of their top military leaders and nuclear scientists. Although official reports about the precise extent of the damage are still coming out, it is thunderingly clear that the strike was nothing less than devastating to Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
Not only that, but unless Iranian officials agree to come to the table and start talking fast, Israel has openly stated that they will continue with additional strikes to finish the job—and that job will be finished when the most dangerous weapon in Iran is Ayatollah Khamenei passing gas.
Assuming he's still in Iran, that is. Reports say a number of top Iranian leaders are making emergency side arrangements to evacuate Tehran if need be. And you'll never guess where they will evacuate to if it comes to that:
That's right! Russia! We've got a winner!
The bottom line is that Israel has effectively chopped the legs out from under Iran's grandiose nuclear fantasies, along with a good portion of their military capabilities. And now there is talk of the Iranian regime actually falling to more moderate groups that could potentially turn Iran into the nation it was before the Iranian Revolution in 1979 turned it into the Islamic terrorist octopus it ultimately became.
Naturally, the question on the minds of many prophecy folks like me is this:
How does this impact the road to Gog-Magog?
Some seem to be of the opinion that this will greatly delay the attack of Ezekiel 38–39, since now we have to wait for Iran to become a major threat to Israel again, as they were prior to this attack.
I don't necessarily agree with this assessment, however. Of course, anything is possible, but in my view nothing here rules out the idea of Gog-Magog coming in the relatively near future—just as I tended to believe prior to this attack. And I say that for a couple of reasons:
1. Nothing in Ezekiel 38–39 requires Iran (Persia) to be armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons and a powerful military in Gog-Magog. Yes, they are part of the coalition of nations that attack Israel. But nothing in Ezekiel's prophecy speaks to the presumed military might of Iran or the lack thereof—they're just listed as part of the gang.
2. The weakening of Iran, if anything, could actually pave the way for the formation of a strong coalition of nations to pounce on Israel. The IDF's devastating attack on Iran makes it clear to Israel's enemies that a coordinated attack by a number of nations is what it will take to rid the world of the dangerous, festering sore that is the Jewish state. And they probably see it as a case of "the sooner, the better."
3. In support of the previous point, note that Russia has already come out and scathingly denounced Israel's attack on Iran, and is busy catering to their Iranian BFFs.
Obviously, none of us knows exactly how God is going to play this hand...but I for one don't see Israel's attack on Iran as something that will put a significant roadblock on the road to Gog-Magog. In fact, it may even ramp things up a notch or two. But I can say one thing with certainty:
It's still on.
6/24/2025 — From the "Wake Up and Smell the Кофе" Department...
As I discussed in last week's Commentary entry, many are wondering how America's apparently successful attack on Iran's nuclear weapons facilities impacts the development of the Gog-Magog scenario. I noted that some see this as something that could delay that scenario for a period of time, now that Iran has been weakened militarily and would seem to have little hope of developing nuclear weapons anytime in the foreseeable future.
I mentioned that I didn't necessarily see it that way, however, since nothing in Ezekiel 38–39 requires Iran to be a nuclear-armed powerhouse—they are just part of the gang and show up, bomb or no bomb.
Some interesting items have appeared in the news in the last few days, however, that make me even more convinced that the push toward Gog-Magog is actually ramping up, not gearing down.
Chief among them is what Russian Deputy Chair of the Security Council and former President Dmitry Medvedev had to say on X. Here's a quote:
"A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads."
And it goes without saying that one of those countries is quite likely Russia itself. Medvedev also greatly downplayed the damage done to Iran's nuclear facilities by the U.S. attack, claiming that Iran's nuclear fuel cycle "appears to have been unaffected or sustained only minor damage." He also stated that Iran's push toward producing nuclear weapons will continue.
Of course, Medvedev's rhetoric is just that: rhetoric...fairly overblown rhetoric at that. But it does reveal some underlying realities.
Realities that should make every prophetically aware believer wake up and smell the кофе.
I believe it is becoming increasingly clear that God is effectively using Trump as a spoon to help stir the pot of Gog-Magog. And I might add that we need to remember that God's running the show, and so isn't concerned with anyone's opinion on whether Trump is right or wrong—President Trump is just a utensil in the hand of a sovereign God.
Although we're clearly not quite there yet, the geopolitical machinations that will lead to the allied effort to attack Israel described by the prophet Ezekiel are increasingly being fomented as we speak and are clearly on track.
And since I am inclined to see the Rapture preceding that attack, as far as I'm concerned that's a spoonful of sugar in this believer's кофе.

7/1/2025 — From the "Some Things Never Change" Department...
As Iran tries to pick up the pieces and the world tries to gauge just how badly Iran's nuclear program was actually damaged by U.S. strikes sent in by the Trump administration, Iran and the U.S. are trying to come to terms in regard to how to restart diplomatic talks.
Now, however, Iran is playing the same old game with the U.S. that the Palestinians played with Israel for many years in regard to talks concerning a two-state solution:
First, agree to our key demands.
Then we'll be happy to talk.
Some things never change.
Of course, this never worked with Israel, and it isn't going to work with Trump. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi recently said that Trump had indicated that he wanted a return to negotiations, but this appeared to be the sticking point: Iran expects the U.S. to promise they won't attack Iran again before they will engage in such talks. According to Takht-Ravanchi, the U.S. has not made its position clear on this "very important question."
To the surprise of no one, Iran is whining about how they need to be able to enrich uranium for "peaceful purposes," which according to them is all they were doing prior to Trump's outrageous and unprovoked strikes against their nuclear weapons facilities.
One small detail the Takht-Ravanchi didn't mention, oddly enough, is the fact that uranium only needs to be enriched to the 3.67 percent level to be used as fuel for nuclear power plants. There are absolutely no peaceful purposes for uranium enriched to the 60 percent level (which is what they already had), which requires minimal time and effort to be raised to the 90 percent level needed for a nuclear weapon.
The simple truth is that the current regime in Iran will never deal honestly with Israel, the United States, or any other country in regard to their nuclear program. Their hatred for Israel runs far too deep to be stifled with reasonable promises and peaceful agreements. They will scheme, plot, and connive to the bloody end in their effort to destroy the Jewish nation.
Speaking of the bloody end, the best Iran will ever be able to do is join a coalition of nations including Russia, Turkey, and several Northern African countries that will attempt to pounce on Israel.
But the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will crush this coalition, just as prophesied in Ezekiel 38–39. In the wake of God's intervention to save His people in Ezekiel's prophesied attack, the gears will start turning that will lead to the treaty of Daniel 9:27, which launches the Tribulation. In other words:
God will show the world
that He keeps His promises
and fights for His people.
Some things never change.
7/8/2025 — From the "Smart Man, Dumb Move" Department...
Well, it appears the feud has culminated in a final falling-out. Just a few weeks ago, there were indications that President Trump and Elon Musk were on their way to reconciling what had suddenly become a stormy relationship over Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill; but since Trump's controversial bill passed on the Fourth of July, Musk has decided to split from Trump and the Republican Party in a rather drama-queen-esque fashion.
In a move I find somewhat surprising, Elon Musk has decided to form a third party to contend with the Democrats he hates and the Republicans he's miffed at, and he's going to call it the America Party.
I want to step lightly here, because I actually do have a healthy amount of respect for Musk. I think he's a good man—a smart man. I just don't think he has the emotional makeup to be a good politician, however. The reason I said I find this move "somewhat surprising" is because I sincerely believe in my heart that this is a dumb move for him.
A dumb move he's liable to regret in the future.
When smart people do dumb things, the real reason often stands out like a rainbow flag in a VFW hall, in spite of their best efforts to cover it over. I believe this dumb move was born of spite, not deep-seated disagreements over policy. I've read that what started it was the fact the Trump's bill would hurt the sales of electric vehicles (which would include Musk's Tesla, horror of horrors).
But rather than suck it up and get on board the way a more mature, politically seasoned team player might be inclined to do, Musk went off the rails in what I can only describe as a surprisingly immature manner. Then he took it upon himself to manufacture his own "poll" in order to determine whether or not Americans were interested in a third party—and according to Musk, about 65 percent responded in the affirmative.
"By jingo, if that's what the American people want, then a third party it is!"
If you live in the United States or are at least familiar with our country's political history, there is no need for me to tell you that third parties haven't fared all that well in American politics for a long time. Some have represented relatively small segments of American society, and in some cases all they have ended up doing is stroking a few inflated egos with equally inflated pockets and stealing a handful of votes from one of the two established parties...for better or worse, as the case may be.
In this particular case, however, I have to go with "worse," since you know that handful of votes will be stolen primarily from Trump's Republicans. And considering the pathetic state of a Democratic Party suffering from stage 4 TDS, that doesn't bode well for this country.
So now Musk is busy cranking out the requisite mindless slogans, like how he's going to "give back your freedom," etc.
Be still, my freedom-seeking heart.
Incidentally, it should be noted that even if Musk's America Party gets a few feet off the ground, Musk himself can never run for president. According to the Constitution, the job of president is the one job in our government that is restricted to natural-born citizens of the United States. Musk was born in South Africa, so what's he gonna do? Secretly destroy microfiche airline records and dummy up a fake birth certificate? Goodness no...perish the thought.
On the other hand, maybe I shouldn't speak too soon. After all...
It worked for Obama.
7/15/2025 — From the "Last Word" Department...
Famed mainstream media journalist and television host Christiane Amanpour recently interviewed Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University grad student who became a negotiator and spokesperson for pro-Palestinian protests at his university in 2024.
During her interview, Amanpour seemed to be genuinely confused as to why protesters continue to chant the well-worn "from the river to the sea" slogan, and seemed surprised that this slogan, in her words, "seems to just drive people mad." According Amanpour:
"People just seem to think that that is a connotation for destroying a people, for all the issues of antisemitism that those concerned have raised."
In other words, this legendary mainstream media journalist just doesn't understand why so many people think that chanting "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" has something to do with destroying Israel and killing the Jews. She's a bit like...
"I mean, gosh, what is wrong with people, anyway?!"
Well, Christiane, lemme see if I can help you out.
People believe that's what that slogan means because that's what that slogan means. Consider: "From the river to the sea" means from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River, which covers all of (undisputed) Israel. And they are referring to this land as "Palestine," not by its real name of Israel. And when they say "Palestine will be free," they clearly mean that Palestine will be untroubled by the existence of the hated "occupying" Zionist regime.
OK, Christiane, let's put two and two together and see what we get: This means chanting "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" means the person doing the chanting wants (a) all the land of Israel turned into a Palestinian state and (b) all the Jews gone or dead.
And judging from the tone and tenor of most pro-Palestinian protesters, I'm inclined to go with the latter.
It should be patently obvious to any intelligent person that this slogan is not merely a catchy pro-Palestinian slogan:
It is a thinly veiled death wish for the
State of Israel and the Jewish people.
Of course, I'm sure there's no shortage of ignorant college kids who chant a slogan they don't even understand merely because they've been duped into thinking it's cool and trendy. But many have believed enough lies that they do understand what it means, and as a result are fully on board the push to establish a Palestinian state and wipe Israel off the map.
But there is one thing you can bank on: The fulfillment of God's prophetic Word is not going to be derailed by catchy slogans chanted by ignorant college kids. As always, God will have the last word...and if you've ever looked at the sidebar of this page, you already know what that last word is:
From the sea to the river,
Israel will be delivered.
(See Ezekiel 38–39 for more details.) You see, Christiane, you and all your liberal, highbrow colleagues are about to witness the reality of what God's Word says will transpire in the Middle East concerning Israel, and frankly it's going to blow all of your liberal, highbrow minds.
Oh, and after that event occurs, I can guarantee you one thing:
No more ignorant college kids will be chanting that catchy slogan.
7/22/2025 — From the "Jumbotron" Department...
You've all seen the photos. You've all seen the videos. You've all seen the horrified facial expressions (expressions that tell the world everything it needs to know) and the frantic attempts to hide from the camera. You've all seen what occurred at a recent Coldplay concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts when the kiss cam focused on two people in the crowd who were sharing a warm embrace—people who, as it turned out, had no business warmly embracing.
Busted.
During the concert, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin announced they would be looking for fans in the audience to "say hello to," and at one point the camera focused on Andy Byron, the CEO of a data management company called Astronomy, and Kristin Cabot, Astronomy's head of human resources...and who doesn't happen to be Mr. Byron's wife.
When the camera zoomed in on them, Martin said "Oh, look at those two." But when "those two" saw themselves on the jumbotron, they suddenly went into panic mode. At first, Martin seemed a bit confused at their strange reaction. But then he made a profoundly sagacious observation:
"Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."
And it was painfully, almost comically obvious that it was that first thing.
Since then, Mr. Byron has resigned as CEO of Astronomy. But the scandalous nature of the situation is not what caught my attention and got me thinking.
This event reminded me of something about our Heavenly Father. We so often forget that God has His own personal jumbotron for each and every individual who has ever lived. He sees all. He knows all.
We hide nothing from Him.
He sees every single one of each person's sins, whether they are forgiven or not. Of course, forgiven is better. But still...He sees them all. We hide none of them from His omniscient gaze. Although they may already be judged, forgiven, and atoned for with the blood of His Son, that doesn't mean He is unaware of them.
But for believers, He also sees every single one of our Spirit-led good works. That's what born-again believers will see on His jumbotron. And you might say those good works are being recorded for replay at the judgment seat of Christ, or the Bema. This occurs in heaven following the Rapture, and we will be rewarded for those Spirit-led works with enhanced positions and responsibilities in the Millennial Kingdom.
So...I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to standing at the Bema and having some angel replay a few scenes from my life on God's jumbotron: perhaps scenes of me sharing the gospel with someone, or showing self-sacrificial kindness to a stranger, or burning the midnight oil and working my fingers to the bone on an article I feel God has led me to write that will be a help to other believers.
Of course, the next time I do something I shouldn't, the jumbotron image is likely to pop into my head as well.
As it should for all of us.
7/29/2025 — From the "Nike Option" Department...
According to the best information available, it is believed that Hamas still holds about 20 living Israeli hostages, and possibly the bodies of about 30 who are deceased. So as far as negotiations between Israel and Hamas to release all remaining hostages and end the conflict that started nearly two years ago on October 7, 2023 are concerned, we're effectively at the place where the proverbial rubber meets the proverbial road...
And all we are seeing is skid marks.
There have been intense efforts recently to reach a deal with Hamas in order to secure the release of the remaining hostages and put an end to the conflict, but Hamas invariably makes every effort to cause such negotiations to crash and burn by adding unrealistic and unacceptable demands to any attempt at a deal—demands designed to guarantee that Hamas is allowed to survive and remain in power in Gaza indefinitely so they can continue their campaign of terror and violence against both Israel as well as the civilian population of Gaza.
But at least there is one person in the world who understands what Hamas is trying to do: President Trump.
Bemoaning the response of Hamas to a proposed 60-day truce and hostage release deal, Trump recently came right and stated what some are reluctantly beginning to realize is the heartbreaking but glaringly obvious truth:
"Hamas didn't really want to make a deal. I think they want to die...I said this was going to happen...We got a lot of hostages out. But when you get down to the last 10 or 20, I don't think Hamas is going to make a deal because that means they have no protection. And basically that's what happened. I think what's going to happen is they're going to be hunted down. It [has] gotten to a point where [Israel is] going to have to finish the job."
In spite of all the understandable hope and optimism about reaching a deal that would effect the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, the plain, simple truth is that Hamas would have to be insane to release all the remaining hostages. Or perhaps I should say suicidal. Hamas may be as evil as evil gets, but give them credit for one thing:
They're not idiots.
As far as I'm concerned, this has been an obvious truth lurking just below the surface of this entire ordeal ever since October 7, 2023. Those hostages mean one supremely important thing for Hamas:
Survival...survival so they can live to see another day when they can inflict more atrocities on Israel.
And Trump is right: Israel is going to have to finish the job of destroying Hamas, or the terror they bring to the region will never end. I believe it's that simple, and I believe it's been that simple all along. Weep for the hostages and their families and get it done. Of course, Israel will be excoriated like never before if they do so, but the heartbreaking reality is that it is the only option Hamas has given them.
You might call it the Nike option:
Just do it.

8/5/2025 — From the "It Ain't Pretty" Department...
On July 28–29, diplomats from the world over met at the United Nations in New York to finalize a resolution intended to bring peace to the Middle East. And the goal of that resolution? It ain't pretty:
To force Israel to fork over a significant amount of their land to create a base for terrorists who are demonically driven to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and kill every last Jew.
Er...I mean, the two state solution.
The resolution in question is known as the "New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution," and a formal vote on this resolution will be held this September at the U.N. General Assembly. Israel and the United States stood out as the only two countries that refused to send representatives to this meeting, and for obvious reasons:
Both Israel and the U.S. are strongly against the two-state solution.
Most Israeli leaders are smart enough to realize that the two-state solution—as noble sounding as it may be to some people—is a glorified, politically correct death sentence for Israel and the Jews, and thank goodness Trump strongly and wisely supports Israel's position.
Jonathan Brentner recently posted an excellent article in regard to this resolution at Harbinger's Daily, and I highly recommend that you read it when you have a chance. And forgive me if I swipe a couple of bits and pieces from his insightful article in this week's Commentary entry.
One interesting thing Jonathan states is the fact it is unlikely that this particular document is in fact the document that launches Daniel's 70th Week. Yes, it's a step in that direction. But this is likely not it...at least not yet.
As compelling as this resolution may be, we're n-o-t quite there yet.
Brentner also points out that for one thing, Israel will never accept this resolution. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is adamantly opposed to any two-state solution—he knows from experience that giving up land for peace is a fool's game that does nothing but put Israel in further danger. And just as importantly, he has the strong backing of the United States in the person of President Trump to support his position.
That makes it likely that this resolution won't go very far this September. But what it does do is show the world that the two-state solution is absolutely in the works at the highest levels, and that the world is determined to pull out all the stops to force it upon Israel in order to lead to its destruction.
(Oops, I'm sorry...did I just say the quiet part out loud?)
Brentner also indicates that in his opinion, one of the "missing pieces" in this situation is the absence of a rising global leader who will sweet-talk the world into accepting and enforcing the treaty of Daniel 9:27 (THE TREATY) upon Israel, the treaty that will launch the Tribulation.
So as prophetically intriguing as this current resolution may be, rather than being THE TREATY itself, in all likelihood it is another clear step forward in the process of reaching THE TREATY. And as Jonathan points out, one key aspect of this situation is the power and political will of the United States in their support of Israel. Which begs the question:
Q. What do you imagine the Rapture will do to the power and political will of the United States?
A. It ain't pretty.
8/12/2025 — From the "Soup's On" Department...
It appears the moment of truth may have finally arrived for Israel's 22-month war with Hamas...or for those who support Hamas and seek to end the conflict with Hamas still fully in control of Gaza, it would be more accurate to call it the moment of lies.
Well, make that more lies.
As the United Nations and most governments around the world apoplectically accuse Israel of implementing a heartless program of starvation on the poor, oppressed people of Gaza and momentum for a two-state solution that will bring peace to the Middle East swells around the globe, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has had enough.
Why? That's easy: All efforts to negotiate with Hamas invariably falter and fail, and no progress toward peace can be made with them because they insist on remaining in power so they can continue to attack and threaten Israel. That is and always will be their raison d'être. The remaining 20 or so hostages will never be willingly released by Hamas.
Why? That's even easier: That's because they are at least smart enough to realize that doing so would spell their swift annihilation.
Netanyahu basically plans to take Gaza back from Hamas and in the process wipe them out, which some begrudgingly view as the only intelligent and permanent solution to the current problem. And some admit this has always been the only solution, whether the world likes it or not.
And the world doesn't like it one little bit.
That's because the world is too busy falling for the lies of Hamas and their pals at the UN and other major world governments, who are weeping and wailing about how Israel is cruelly starving the innocent civilians of Gaza, while in reality nothing could be further from the truth.
The world is weeping and wailing about how if Israel continues this madness, it will plunge Gaza into another calamity. How dare they! No, you must continue to attempt to negotiate with those who cannot be negotiated with and make peace with those who seek nothing but your death and destruction. That's the world's answer—but as usual the world is dead wrong.
I don't pretend to know what's going to happen next, but I do know where this is heading. That's because God's Word tells us in black and white:
God is stirring up a pot of Gog-Magog stew.
The only question is whether or not we'll still be here when it's time for the Master Chef holler...
"Soup's on!"
8/26/2025 — From the "You Guessed It" Department...
Jonathan Tobin, Editor-in-Chief of Jewish News Syndicate, recently summed up the situation as eloquently as it can be summed up:
If Palestinian statehood were a stock, its price would be soaring.
And he nailed it to the wall. A groundswell of support for the establishment of a two-state solution—an idea that floats the dream of a Palestinian state living side by side the Jewish state in peace and harmony—has overtaken the sensibilities of multitudes of otherwise sensible people.
And nations.
Dividing Israel into a Jewish state trying to live side by side with a state run by terrorists who seek nothing but the destruction of Israel and the death of all Jews is, to anyone who has a grasp of the facts on the ground in that region, disturbingly detached from reality. It would give what is essentially a gang of lunatic terrorists an open invitation to kill Jews and take land that belongs to them about as much as New Jersey does, and anyone who supports it is either flat-out anti-Semitic or has simply gotten swept up in the flood of lies being mass-produced by the mainstream media. Or both.
In the past few weeks, several major countries have come out and stated they will recognize a Palestinian state at this year's UN General Assembly in September: France, Canada, Great Britain, and Australia. These are great nations. Strong nations. Not nations that are typically known for being deluded by demonstrably absurd lies spread by terrorists and peddled by an obviously corrupt mainstream media.
And yet they are falling for it.
Actually, the idea of a two-state solution sounds like a swell idea—an idea that will certainly solve some fundamental problems in the Middle East and whose time has come.
And it would be, if it were not for one simple fact:
Unknown to most of the world, there is someone pulling the strings behind the scenes.
No, not Barack Obama. Not Bill Gates. Not Klaus Schwab.
The mastermind behind this drive for a two-state solution, which will be the fulfillment of end-time prophecy and an event that will play a key role in this individual's lust for the destruction of Israel, the death of all Jews, and what will turn out to be a very short-lived earthly kingdom is...you guessed it:
Satan.
It's that simple. We are witnessing the stirring of the prophetic pot, and it should come as no surprise to those who study end-time prophecy—we are literally the only people on earth who actually understand where this is headed and why. So...

9/2/2025 — From the "Tell Us Something We Don't Know" Department...
A major peer-reviewed medical study has come out of Italy's Pescara province, and it tells the unpleasant truth that many of us have long suspected but certainly never heard from the government, the medical industry, the mainstream media, and least of all Big Pharma.
The COVID vaccines really are
more dangerous than COVID.
So tell us something we don't know.
The study tracked almost 300,000 people over a two-and-a-half year period—the first population-wide study of its kind to date—and the results are as definitive as they are chilling:
The COVID vaccines are unquestionably linked to statistically significant increases in a number of forms of cancer, particularly breast, bladder, and colorectal cancers.
There have been a few doctors and other medically trained people who have been blowing the whistle on the mRNA vaccines for years, and many have suffered professional censure as well as vicious attacks on their reputation for bucking Big Pharma's "Safe and Effective!" mantra. But a study of this nature is impossible to dismiss or disregard—this was just what the doctor ordered.
In a previous article, I discuss this unusual wave of deaths that is set to accelerate in the next several years due to the unsafe and ineffective vaccines that have been pushed on an unsuspecting world, and I indulge in a dash of speculation about how this phenomenon that has become known as "turbo cancer" could be connected to the fourth seal judgment.
In John's description of the seal judgments in Revelation 6, he describes the fourth seal judgment as a rider on a black horse—and this rider, whose name is Death, brings death. John describes how this judgment will bring death in several different forms: (a) death by the sword, (b) death by famine, (c) death by death, and (d) death by wild animals.
In that article, I explain in detail why I believe it is possible that this wave of turbo cancers from the mRNA vaccines might be unusual enough to be part of the seemingly incongruous "death by death" John mentions in Revelation 6:8.
And if it is, then this serves as yet another incontrovertible sign that we are literally knocking on the door of the Rapture.
So tell us something we don't know.
9/9/2025 — From the "Blow Wind Blow" Department...
I hope this doesn't shock you too much, but it has been revealed that for the last few years CBS News and other major mainstream media outlets have been partnering with a radical climate-change advocacy group in their "reporting" about climate change. In other words (and I hope this doesn't shock you too much either):
It's "goodbye unbiased journalism,
hello radical false narratives."
A non-profit organization called Climate Central has been working behind the scenes with some of the major mainstream media outlets with their reporting on climate change. According to Climate Central's website:
"A partner outlet contributes local reporting, including field reporting, photography and some editing for a story. We contribute data and charts plus a science reporter and an editor. For a text story, we help craft a feature in a way that puts climate change in appropriate and accurate context. For broadcast media, we provide story and interview suggestions and help develop and review scripts. Climate Central's researchers assist with fact-checking."
Although Climate Central claims it is a "non-advocacy organization," it's past track record quickly reveals it is anything but. This organization is a full-bent, radical left-wing group that seeks to push a false narrative on an unsuspecting world, and is now assisting the mainstream media in doing just that.
Before I say anything else, let me be 100 percent clear and forthcoming about my view of the current "climate crisis" that has received attention bordering on hysteria from every quarter over the last few years.
Yes, the climate in many parts of the world is changing—few would dispute that. But the official narrative is that this change is due to human activity, primarily through such things as burning fossil fuels, etc. I believe, however, that there is strong scientific evidence this is simply not true. I have become convinced that such change is partly due to natural cycles and partly due to manipulation by technology that has been in use since before the Vietnam War, during which we manipulated rain patterns in North Vietnam in an effort to flood tunnels used by the Viet Cong.
I am convinced that we are being systematically lied to and led by the nose by everyone from government leaders to the scientific community to the mainstream media, and are being pressured to fall in line with the "We're all gonna die by 2030 unless we stop climate change!!!" narrative. And anyone who refuses to do so is promptly excoriated as a ditzy conspiracy theorist.
But the question is this: Why? Easy answer...and one that meshes surprisingly well with the fulfillment of end-time prophecy.
As the world lurches toward the Tribulation, one thing that will help push the world in Satan's desired direction is a global boogieman—a global problem that threatens our planet and our very existence. Of course, it must be one that is much too big for any one country to solve or effectively deal with. One that will require the countries of the world to come together as one (or be pushed together kicking and screaming as one) under global leadership. The story will be that that's what we have to do in order to save the world.
All this talk of climate change reminds me of a line from one of Bob Dylan's early songs:
"You don't have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows."
As born-again believers, it is our knowledge of God's prophetic Word that tells us which way the wind blows, and that wind is already beginning to blow.
And it's just about ready to blow us up into the clouds to be with the Lord.
All I can say is "Blow wind blow."
9/16/2025 — From the "Jesus Sent Me" Department...
Ever since September 10, the mainstream media has been abuzz with reactions to, theories about, and opinions of the shooting of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit with the stated mission "to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government."
And in the process, Charlie openly and unashamedly injected the gospel of Jesus Christ into everything he said and every question he answered.
Since the shooting, which occurred on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, numerous liberals have exposed themselves as the heartless, gutless fiends they are by mocking and celebrating Charlie's murder, and spinning insultingly absurd theories about who did it and why.
For example, one sagacious left-wing swami speculated that Charlie may have been shot by one of his own gun-toting, MAGA-extremist supporters in the crowd who recklessly fired off his gun in a celebratory tizzy.
Yes, he actually said that.
And I personally find it deeply gratifying that many such people have been disciplined or fired as a result. Before God, few deserve it more.
But there is one thing happening in the wake of Charlie's murder that you probably won't hear about on the mainstream media, and it is a burgeoning phenomenon that is erupting all over the nation:
Revival.
According to numerous reports (mostly on social media, since to the surprise of no one the mainstream media is turning its nose up at it), churches all over the country are reporting huge upswings in attendance. Why? Why do you think?
Because Charlie Kirk's bold and unflinching witness and presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ awakened something within many of his listeners and allowed the Holy Spirit to begin to stir in their hearts.
According to one such person:
"It's been about 15 years since I've been to church and actually meant it. With what happened to Charlie Kirk, his image and message has reached me and I have made the decision that I am going back to church to find Jesus."
Multiply this by legions upon legions. And one of the memes that is currently circulating among these people is this:
Charlie sent me.
God is using both Charlie's message and his murder as tools to wake people up all over the country, and we are just beginning to witness the result.
I have long believed that prior to the catching away of the Church (which I am convinced from Scripture is the official launching of the day of the Lord), there will be one final (probably brief) period of revival to draw in those last few precious souls into the body of Christ before God initiates the judgments of the Tribulation on the world.
You might also say this final period of revival during the waning moments of the Church Age will help plant the seeds for the harvest of people who will similarly flock to churches everywhere to an even greater degree after the Rapture, and who will constitute the Tribulation saints who will have to endure the dangers and hardships of Daniel's 70th Week.
So it is eminently possible that what we are witnessing as a result of Charlie Kirk's murder is yet another clear indication that we are getting excitingly close to the translation of the Church. But when that glorious day finally arrives—and it will, soon and very soon, we will have a somewhat different meme:
Jesus sent me.
9/23/2025 — From the "All Train—No Peace" Department...
Just in time for the opening of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal have formally recognized a Palestinian state.
What is interesting is that these countries as well as others who have already done so honestly seem to believe that dividing Israel with her sworn enemies is literally the only way to achieve peace in that region (and in the whole world, judging from some of the specious comments that have poured forth from some those leaders).
To the surprise of no one, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it ain't happening. Netanyahu said that he will give Israel's response to this after he returns from the United States where he will confer with President Trump, who ostensibly supports his position. He has also said that Israel may formally annex the West Bank as part of their response to the world's demand for a two-state solution, which would do nothing but reward Hamas, put Israel in existential danger, and ensure that peace in the region would be far less likely than it has ever been before.
The naiveté of these leaders is stunning. For example, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer made the following grand, august statement in his announcement of the UK's formal recognition of a Palestinian state:
"Today, to revive the hope of peace for the Palestinians and Israelis, and a two-state solution, the United Kingdom formally recognizes the State of Palestine."
"...To revive the hope of peace..." And he no doubt actually believes that—but you see what I mean. That's the line: There is no possibility for peace between Israel and the Palestinians unless Israel coughs up a large chunk of their land to terrorists who seek only the destruction of Israel, the commandeering of every square inch of Israel's land, and the removal (read: death) of all Jews.
Think I'm joking? Think I'm just another alt-right, pro-Israel wing nut? Do yourself a favor and read the Palestinian National Charter sometime (key parts of which I discuss here). It's only about four or five pages, but that one short document will tell you all you need to know about the Palestinians and their phony two-state scheme.
The so-called "two-state solution" amounts to little more than the first step toward fulfilling the dream of what are in reality the descendants of Arab refugees who evacuated their homes in Israel at the outset of Israel's War of Independence in 1948–1949. And that dream is to take all of Israel's land, which they have been indoctrinated (read: fed lies) over the last 70-odd years to make them believe it is all actually their land.
As you would expect, these world leaders are going out of their way to pontificate about how Hamas can have "no role" in this shiny new Palestinian state. My, how reassuring is that, huh?
As if all the terrorists are simply going to disappear into thin air. Or perhaps drop their weapons, join hands with their Israeli brothers, and start singing "Kumbaya" on every street corner.
Uhh...no. The simple, unpleasant truth is that there can never be peaceful coexistence between Israel and demonically oppressed terrorists who seek only the destruction of the Jewish state—and anyone with any depth of understanding of the reality of the situation should realize that.
But for now, from the world's point of view, it's "All aboard the peace train!"
Unfortunately, it's all train—no peace.
9/30/2025 — From the "Live From New York" Department...
As usual, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approached the podium to deliver his address at the United Nations the other day, dozens of representatives of other nations got up and walked out. This has become de rigueur at the most ant-Semitic organization on the face of the planet.
But that didn't stop Netanyahu from speaking the truth about the conflict between Israel and Hamas—a conflict that is routinely inflated into genocide against the Palestinians by an evil Israeli regime that seeks to starve and brutally slaughter innocent civilians in Gaza. (The simple truth is that Israel takes every conceivable precaution to prevent harm to civilians, while Hamas hides weapons and ammunition under schools and hospitals and steals over 90 percent of the food aid sent to Gaza only to sell it at exorbitant prices to fund their terrorist activities.) Netanyahu referred to this contrived political lie in an appropriately pointed manner:
"I want to ask you a simple question, a simple logical question: Would a country committing genocide plead with the civilian population it is supposedly targeting to get out of harm's way?"
Which is precisely what Israel has always done...those dirty, rotten, no-good Zionist occupiers!
During his address, Netanyahu wore a pin on his lapel that bore a QR code that led to a website pertaining to Hamas' October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. Many at the U.N. seem to keep forgetting about that small bit of dirty business—after all, they're pretty busy condemning Israel for defending themselves like any other country would do in the wake of such an attack.
While he was at it, Netanyahu sought to put the madness of the two-state solution on full display, making reference to the fact that the current plan would put the border of "Palestine" approximately one mile from Jerusalem:
"Giving the Palestinians a state one mile from Jerusalem after Oct. 7 is like giving Al Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after 9/11...This is sheer madness. It's insane, and we won't do it."
Oh, and Netanyahu got the last laugh in a very unusual way. He revealed that his remarks from the U.N. were being broadcast live from New York over loudspeakers that had been set up in various locations throughout Gaza, so that both Hamas and the hostages could hear what he was saying. And this is what he said to them (first in Hebrew and then in English):
"Our brave heroes, this is Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking to you live from the United Nations. We have not forgotten you, not even for a second. The people of Israel are with you. We will not falter and we will not rest until we bring all of you home...To the remaining Hamas leaders and to the jailers of our hostages, I now say, lay down your arms, let my people go, free the hostages, all of them, the whole 48...free the hostages. Now, if you do, you will live. If you don't, Israel will hunt you down."
The remarks were also sent to cell phones throughout Gaza with the help of Israeli intelligence.
So it was "Live from New York!" Hey, now that's showmanship.
So anyone who assumed the skimpy audience at the U.N. meant no one was listening to the Prime Minister of Israel was wrong. There were a lot more people listening to him than a few dozen clueless, politically obedient suits at the U.N. ever imagined.
And those clueless, politically obedient suits should listen to him: Benjamin Netanyahu actually knows what's going on in Gaza, while the suits are content with simply trying to make Israel look like the bad guy for political points.

10/7/2025 — From the "Some Things Never Die" Department...
Today marks the second anniversary of the gruesome terror attack perpetrated on Israeli civilians by Hamas that launched the war in Gaza, and negotiators are currently meeting in Cairo, Egypt to work out the details of President Trump's plan to release the remaining hostages and end the conflict. The plan has been tentatively agreed to by Hamas, but details remain to be hammered out.
Trump has given Hamas a clear "sign it or else" message and is pushing for the agreement to be a done deal within a matter of days. Many believe that Hamas is willing to finally release the remaining 48 hostages (about 20 of which are believed to still be alive), because they believe Hamas wants to be viewed by countries who support the two-state solution as a legitimate negotiating power, as opposed to the gang of terrorist thugs they are in reality.
In other words, some believe the recent momentum toward a two-state solution has been a bit of a wake-up call for Hamas, who is obviously dreaming of playing a significant role in any Palestinian state. And you might say tortured, emaciated hostages aren't a good look for any entity that wishes to be seen as something vaguely resembling a potential governing body.
To that end, Qatar, Egypt, and even (surprise!) Mahmoud Abbas have been putting pressure on Hamas to go ahead and release the hostages, because failing to do so puts a damper on any perceived international standing for this gang of terrorists (as if they ever had any, that is).
One can't help but get the feeling, however, that even if this much ballyhooed deal does in fact get signed and implemented, in spite of the ticker-tape parades awaiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, we will see Hamas doing something a bit less than laying down their weapons and disappearing into the Mediterranean sunset, as the deal's original terms clearly specify.
I suspect Hamas will manage to slither out of this with a bit more than that in their pockets, but the deal will still go through due to the overpowering emotional gravity exerted by the release of the remaining hostages—a force that even a seasoned, pragmatic Benjamin Netanyahu may be unable to resist any longer. In other words, in the opinion of some:
This deal may end the hostage crisis, but it won't end the war.
That's because no matter what anyone does or doesn't agree to, Hamas will never cease in their efforts to destroy Israel and kill Jews, and persuade a fallen, deceived world to support them in their efforts. Nothing will ever change this as long as there are people like Hamas in the world. And why is that?
Because Satan's hatred never dies.
(Of course, I'm pleased to report that there will come a time when there won't be people like Hamas in the world. Ditto for Satan.)
But Hamas and others of their ilk will learn soon enough what it means to attack God's covenant people, whom God loves and has promised to mightily defend—two facts that will never change. And why is that?
Because God's love never dies, either.
10/14/2025 — From the "Not So Fast" Department...
I am greatly pleased to report that all 20 of the remaining Israeli hostages (the living ones, that is) have been freed and are now back home, and so the hostage crisis is effectively over. Of course, that's great news, but...
Now comes the hard part.
And quite likely the disappointing, frustrating part. Many are leaping for joy and shouting "Peace!! Peace!!" Many are giddily acting as if President Trump had single-handedly brought peace to the Middle East at long last, and are thumbing their collective noses at the Nobel Committee for snubbing Trump, who in their view obviously deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.
B-u-u-t no...sorry. This year's prize went to María Corina Machado of Venezuela (who didn't hesitate to dedicate the prize to the Venezuelan people as well as President Trump as a sincere show of respect and admiration).
It makes one wonder if the Nobel Committee would consider awarding a Nobel Prize to a researcher who found a cure for TDS.
(Oh, wait...never mind. Experts have determined that TDS is incurable.)
Be aware, however, that every biblically knowledgeable person out there should be joining me in saying three simple words:
Not. So. Fast.
Anyone with even a cursory understanding of end-time prophecy knows full well that this is about as much peace in the Middle East as it is a pepperoni pizza. I mean, c'mon—Gog-Magog, the mark of the beast, Armageddon...we haven't even gotten warmed up yet. About the best spin anyone could put on this is to call it a hiatus in the hostilities...and probably a brief one at that.
"Oh, but Hamas signed President Trump's 20-point Gaza peace plan! They released the hostages! The war is over! Don't be so pessimistic!"
"Pessimistic"? Try "realistic." No...try "aware of what God's Word says is going to happen before Christ's return." To the surprise of no one, about 2.7 seconds after the last hostage arrived home, Hamas announced that they would not be disarming—that it was "out of the question." Some are starting to get the feeling that if they had given Trump that Nobel Peace Prize, they might be asking for it back in a few weeks.
Here's the thing: Yes, Hamas released the hostages, and for that I thank a merciful God. But make no mistake: The hatred is still there. There's no hiatus for that. The demonically inspired desire to destroy Israel, take every square inch of Israel's land, and kill every Jew is still there. It still burns in the breast of every member of Hamas as intensely as ever—and it always will. They will go to their graves with it. Why? Simple:
Because that hatred comes from Satan, and that hatred still burns in his breast as intensely as ever—and it always will. He will go to the lake of fire for eternity with it.
But for the moment, the world can breathe a sigh of relief—at least the horror of the hostage crisis is over. Thank God for that. But we cannot allow ourselves to contract a case of Everything's-Gonna-Be-OK-itis. The world is still on track for a date with Daniel's 70th Week, and there will be no true peace in the Middle East until the Prince of Peace arrives at its climax to slay His enemies and establish His kingdom.
It is Christ alone who can and will bring genuine peace not just to the Middle East, but to the entire world. And you gotta admit:
That sorta relegates the Nobel Peace Prize to the status of a Pokémon toy.
10/21/2025 — From the "Best News of All" Department...
As you know, Israel and Hamas signed a ceasefire agreement a few days ago, and Hamas released all 20 of the remaining hostages. And I may as well repeat what I said last week:
Now comes the hard part.
And to the surprise of no one, so far it's been rough going.
According to reports, Hamas has violated the ceasefire at least three times, and the IDF has responded forcefully. Hamas is playing the old "What?! US violate the ceasefire?! No way!!" game, and at least 11 members of Hamas have been killed in Israel's retaliation for the blatant violations of the ceasefire.
The United States is urging Israel to "respond proportionately but show restraint," and an unnamed U.S. official pointed out the obvious:
"Nobody wants to go back to full-scale war. The Israelis want to show Hamas there are consequences, without ruining the peace agreement."
I admit that it's difficult for me to listen to U.S. and Israeli officials talk about working with Hamas, or maintaining a ceasefire with Hamas, or achieving peace with Hamas as if they were normal, rational human beings. They're not.
They are demonically oppressed with the same hatred for Israel and the Jewish people that burns in the heart of Satan himself. They cannot quench their hatred for Israel. They cannot contain their violence against Israel. They cannot live in peace with Israel, and they never will as long as they exist.
They are a tool in Satan's hand, and he's using them for all they're worth for his own purposes. And those purposes aim for the ultimate goal of destroying Israel and killing every Jew.
So, you might say we're looking at a bit of a "good news, bad news" thing.
The bad news?
This peace agreement with Hamas will ultimately fail, guaranteed.
The good news?
Satan's goal of wiping Israel off the map and exterminating the Jewish people will also fail, guaranteed.
But you know what the best news of all is?
Soon and very soon, the Prince of Peace will succeed in bringing true peace to a broken, fallen world that is in desperate need of it.
Guaranteed.
10/28/2025 — From the "Talkin' Turkey" Department...
To the surprise of no one, Trump's Gaza peace plan is experiencing problems. Hamas has violated the ceasefire several times, and according to reports Israel has responded with excessive force.
There are also questions about some of the bodies of deceased hostages that Hamas claims they cannot find. Some in Israel say they know exactly where some of those bodies are, but that Hamas is playing their usual games. In addition, Hamas flatly refuses to disarm, and stubbornly insists they will continue to have a role in ruling Gaza.
And as if that wasn't enough, there is the issue of the so-called "peacekeeping force" that Trump wants to establish in Gaza in order to...you know, keep the peace. OK, humor me by participating in a little thought experiment:
Imagine you have an attractive teenage daughter, and you want to keep her safe on her way to and from school and on school outings and such. So, you seek to hire a private "peacekeeping force" to protect her. A group of three young men apply for the job, and you review their résumés: One is a convicted rapist, one has been convicted for trafficking in child pornography, and one has been convicted of child molestation.
Q. Do you hire them?
To hear some in Israel tell it, President Trump is in a similar situation as he tries to put together his peacekeeping force for Gaza, and he is answering the above question with an emphatic "Yes!" as seeks to make Turkey and Qatar part of it. Israel's response?
Please tell us you're joking.
In a speech earlier this year, Turkish President Recep Erdogan invoked divine assistance from Allah to "destroy and devastate Zionist Israel." He has also stated that Jerusalem is a Muslim city, and so...
"We will not give even a single pebble belonging to Jerusalem to Israel."
Just the kind of peacekeepers you want in Gaza, right? Yet Trump appears to have confidence in Erdogan and speaks highly of him:
"This gentleman from a place called Turkey is one of the most powerful in the world. He's a reliable ally. He's always there when I need him."
At least both President Trump and Vice President Vance have stated that Israel must agree to what troops are included in the peacekeeping force. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has flatly rejected the possibility of a peacekeeping force that includes Turkish troops. He is also unlikely to approve forces from Qatar...the little Arab paradise where top Hamas leaders lounge in their multi-million dollar mansions (at least the ones who have managed to avoid being target practice for the IDF).
Netanyahu has made Israel's position clear:
"We are in control of our security, and we have also made it clear regarding international forces that Israel will determine which forces are unacceptable to us, and this is how we operate and will continue to operate."
Of course, Scripture makes it clear that there will be no peace in the Middle East until the Prince of Peace returns to establish peace throughout the entire world in His kingdom. And that means no one should be pinning their hopes to this Gaza peace plan.
It will fail, guaranteed.
But if someone told me they thought its failure would somehow ultimately lead to the attack of Gog-Magog, I would only have one thing to say:
Now you're talkin' turkey.

11/4/2025 — From the "Brain Virus" Department...
Like many other conservatives, I was long a fan of Tucker Carlson (yes, was). He was one of my absolute favorite people on Fox News for years, and I was delighted to see him come out strong on an independent basis after his departure from Fox News in 2023.
Like many other conservatives (dare I say MAGA types), I shared many of Tucker's views on the cesspool of lies, hate, and duplicity that the Democratic Party had become mired in, particularly following Trump's first election in 2016. There was no doubt in my mind, nor in the minds of most Republicans:
Tucker is one of the good guys!
But here recently, Tucker Carlson has begun to reveal a side of himself that I for one had somehow managed to miss:
And that side is anti-Semitism.
Oh, and not just a little bit. We're talking outright loathing of Israel and the Jewish people. Tucker Carlson, one of the leading mouthpieces of the MAGA right (at least up until now), is filled with the same type of anti-Semitism that has become de rigueur for left-wing liberals today.
I'm sorry...did I say "the same type"? It appears that Carlson's strain of anti-Semitism borders on lunacy. In a recent interview with podcast host Nick Fuentes, Carlson stated that "Christian Zionists" like former President George W. Bush (president from 2001 to 2009) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) suffered from a "brain virus." Yes, he actually said that. Carlson went on to say...
"I dislike them more than anybody because like what? Because it's Christian heresy and I'm offended by that as a Christian."
OK, straight up: Anyone who sincerely believes that supporting the Jewish people and the nation of Israel is "Christian heresy" caused by a "brain virus" and who is "offended by that as a Christian" is so confused about what the Bible teaches and about what they supposedly believe as a self-professed Christian that it's impossible to take anything they say seriously.
Yes, Tucker...there is a brain virus at work here, but it's not Christian Zionism. It's hatred for Israel and the Jewish people, and that viral infection only has one source: the father of lies.
And Tucker is clearly infected with it. As a result, I can no longer trust him—and I will never be able to bring myself to listen to another word he says.
But the worst part is this:
He's not the only one.
Tucker Carlson is just part of a growing trend rising from within the bowels of the conservative right wing in this country, and that trend is flat-out anti-Semitism that rivals anything we've seen from the left. And that trend is troubling indeed.
It may be troubling, but from the standpoint of Bible prophecy it shouldn't be surprising. Satan is gearing up for his moment in the sun, the ultimate goal of which is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
So someone may as well go ahead and break the news to Tucker Carlson:
Satan will fail—Israel will prevail.
And that's not Christian heresy caused by a brain virus.
That's God's inviolable
promises to His people.
11/11/2025 — From the "No Gots" Department...
I want to use this week's Commentary entry as an opportunity to say a few words in regard to an issue that has caused a certain degree of controversy in the Church, and I have been confronted with it on several occasions.
And that issue is artificial intelligence—AI.
On several occasions over the past year or so, I have had people email me theories concerning end-time prophecy they had worked out that in some way incorporated information generated by AI. And generally speaking, most of what they had to say would sound pretty solid and reasonable to anyone with a modest degree of understanding of what the Bible teaches about such things.
But there have been a couple of occasions when I just couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was a little...off. That AI had reached a conclusion a bit too quickly, or had somehow missed something a bit deeper or made too much of a surface connection. In most cases nothing in what the person said was blatantly wrong, mind you...but sometimes I couldn't help but walk away with a vague feeling that there was something more that AI had failed to bring out, or some deeper connections it had failed to make.
In most cases it was clear to me that the people who wrote me such emails felt the use of AI added a substantive level of confirmation to their ideas—a high-tech stamp of approval, as it were. This is in keeping with the general attitude I see developing in regard to AI throughout all of society:
"Hey, that's what AI said...and who can argue with AI?"
Right? The way AI is developing, people can't help but feel as if they have 10,000 lightning-fast, super geniuses working on their problem simultaneously. Good grief, how can we compete with that? And perhaps more importantly, the attitude I see starting to be cultivated in many people's minds is...
"How can we question that?"
I think most prophetically aware people would agree that we are witnessing the development of a tool that will be used by Satan during the Tribulation, and it's not hard to see—even at this early stage—that the world will indeed reach the point where AI will be considered beyond question or disagreement.
Just what the doctor ordered for Satan and his man the Antichrist.
Yes, some are beginning to believe that AI has it all. But I'm sure most of you would agree that there is one thing AI doesn't have and never will:
The presence of the Holy Spirit.
Sorry, no gots. It is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of born-again believers that enables us to rightly discern what God is speaking to us through His Word. There is no limit to the depth of meaning of Scripture, and without the presence of the Holy Spirit in us to guide and inform our understanding of the Word, we can only dig so deep.
Without His Spirit dwelling within us, we are limited by our own intellect. As a result, we will invariably miss some of the deeper, more spiritual connections and depths of meaning that God wants us to come to understand.
It is critical for believers to keep
this in mind as the world begins to
bow to the power and authority of AI.
Or perhaps I should the perceived power and authority of AI. In reality, the only power and authority AI has is what people willingly give it.
Personally, I have no keen interest in using AI for anything in particular, including the interpretation of Scripture. I know it sounds silly, but I admit that using AI for anything kinda gives me the creeps.
That said, however, unlike some I've seen, I have no intention of sitting here and criticizing or condemning anyone who avails themselves of AI in their study of the Word. I believe it can be a helpful tool, and I honestly believe it has its uses in terms of finding, filtering, and sorting through the massive amount of factual information contained in the Bible. In other words, I don't think there is anything inherently evil about AI—it's a tool. After all, the Bible is a mighty big book, and that's what AI is good at. In other words...
The evil isn't in the tool.
It's in the way the tool is used.
We need to be prepared to put the AI aside and rely on the Holy Spirit to help us plumb the depths of spiritual truth that permeates Scripture.
That's what He's good at.
If you do use AI, be on your guard and trust the Holy Spirit to give you a heads up if it's telling you something that's actually leading you away from God's intended meaning, rather than closer to it.
And if you're not supremely confident in your ability to do that, then I would leave AI out of my study of Scripture, period.
Just my two shekels.

Same old routine. It's like I've said in the past: Every few months there's a story in the news that serves to keep the intriguing idea of aliens visiting earth percolating in the back of people's minds. But the reason this is true never occurs to the vast majority of people (believers and unbelievers).
And there is a reason for it.
Apparently there is a comet currently passing through our solar system, and according to astronomers it is only the third interstellar object ever detected that has passed through our little neck of the woods.
When this comet, named 3I/Atlas, was first detected approaching our solar system back on July 21 by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, there was excited buzz in certain circles that it might possibly be an alien spacecraft. Further scientific observations quickly confirmed that 3I/Atlas was just a comet, however, and those giddy speculations were put to rest.
According to scientists, gleaning information from 3I/Atlas may be useful in helping us understand the nature and composition of other solar systems, and ultimately help us understand why our solar system is so uniquely suited to support sentient life.
OK, all you scientists, you may be 900 times smarter that I am, but I think I can help you out with that one. (Drum roll, please...)
Our planet is uniquely suited
to support sentient life because
a Creator God created it that way.
And to top it off, He also created the sentient life form that it supports.
Stick that in your scientific journals and peer-review it.
As far as there being some story in the news every couple of months that tends to keep the idea of aliens visiting earth in the back of people's minds, I can help you out with that one as well.
After the Rapture, Satan wants to be ready to spring into action and push his explanation as to why several hundred million people suddenly disappeared or went flying off into the sky (however you choose to visualize the Rapture).
But since Satan doesn't know when the Rapture will occur, he has to wait until the Rapture actually happens before he can start promoting his explanation—if he plays his hand too soon, it could easily sputter and fade. And his explanation (see this and this) will involve what he has been indoctrinating people to believe since the overblown events at Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947:
UFOs and aliens are real,
and they are visiting us.
Satan's explanation for the Rapture will go something like this:
A benevolent alien race has been visiting Earth for many years, and has come to help mankind evolve spiritually and survive the coming earth "changes" (i.e. the judgments of the Tribulation). These "changes" are a result of Mother Earth having to cleanse herself of the dark, negative energy filling the earth due to the persistent belief in primitive, archaic superstitions (like the Bible). Those people who went missing were simply not ready to evolve spiritually, and were evacuated by those good-guy aliens to a vast fleet of spacecraft parked nearby where they will be lovingly, patiently retrained until they are prepared to rejoin the rest of the world—those who are ready to evolve spiritually. Then we will all live together in a wonderful fourth-dimensional paradise here on Earth, and the "Age of Aquarius" will finally become a reality.
Oh, and the competing explanation?
16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, 17then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16–18)
So like, you know...comfort one another with these words.

Aah, California...the Golden State. Better known to people who live in other reasonably sane parts of the country as the Sure-Glad-I-Live-Somewhere-Else State, California's governorship has been in the news recently.
First, got a joke for you:
I heard that Gavin Newsom, California's current governor, originally considered a career as a department store mannequin. Word has it that he passed the appearance test, but failed the intelligence test.
But not to worry...help may be on the way: Rep. Eric Salwell (D-CA), a virulent Never-Trumper suffering from stage 4 TDS, announced he is running for governor of California, and he's been chatting up some his wonderful plans for this bluest-of-the-blue state.
As you may recall, in 2020 legislatures across the country developed new voting laws and temporary measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic—changes that enabled many American voters to receive voting materials by mail and cast ballots while confined at home during the pandemic. The Democrats were all for it and did much to push such measures into law. Why? Why do you think? They saw an opportunity.
And that was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
Honestly, at this point I no longer care whether or not people believe the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. The facts speak for themselves, regardless of anyone's opinion—either people learn the facts and believe them or they blissfully press on and believe that Joe Biden, who "campaigned" from his basement while Trump was staging one rock-concert campaign event after another, actually received more votes than any presidential candidate in the history of the United States. Feel free to believe as you wish.
Oh, but Rep. Salwell has an even better idea:
"Yeah, baby...vote by phone!
Salwell had this to say:
"I want us to be able to vote by phone. I think every California...by phone, by phone, yeah, if we can do our taxes, do our, you know, our, make our health care appointments, you know, make, essentially, your, do your banking online, you should be able to vote by phone."
In other words, mail-in ballots played a role in the massive voter fraud that helped install a drooling Democratic dolt into the White House in 2020, but that's just not enough to satisfy Democrats. Oh no. Of course, Salwell jabbered about how they would make it "safe" and "secure," but after 2020 it's clear that those are code words for the Democrats that mean:
"Yeah, baby! Now all we need is a glass of water with a 'D' next to it!"
So forgive me if I ask the painfully obvious question:
What could possibly go wrong??
I think what annoys me most about today's Democratic Party is that they make it so clear that they truly believe the American people are stupid enough to believe everything they say. But the great majority of us aren't.
And it's certainly not about worshiping Donald Trump. Trump has made a few mistakes and could have handled a few things better, and I fear that he is likely to pursue some foolishly naive policies in the Middle East that will help pave the way to the attack of Ezekiel 38–39.
Part of the problem is that Trump doesn't seem to fully grasp that it's ideologies (both God-centered and Satan-centered) that are the real fuel that runs the Middle East, not economics—not money. For Trump, everything is always about development and prosperity. In other words:
What shapes events in the Middle East
is more about the Bible—not Big Bucks.
But...he is what he is. I still support him, but I am of the opinion that God placed him in the White House to do just exactly that:
Help pave the way to the
attack of Ezekiel 38–39.
That'll put a dent in his image, but I don't care...and neither should you. Why?
Because we won't be here, that's why.

According to a recent news article, Samantha Fulnecky, a student at the University of Oklahoma, was assigned to write a 650-word essay in her psychology class in response to an article about "how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender."
Samantha completed the assignment in a timely manner, submitted her paper, and when the papers were returned she discovered that she had received a grand total of zero out of a possible 25 points on the assignment.
And that would be an F.
So...one might ask: Just what did Samantha do to merit a grade of zero? Turn in several pages of illegible nonsense? A collection of scrawled doodles showing the instructor in various sexual positions with assorted farm animals?
Oh no. Something far worse than that:
She (gasp) quoted the Bible!!
The instructor, a man pretending to be a woman named Mel Curth, claimed that Samantha had failed to use any "empirical evidence" in her paper, and that parts of it were "offensive." In response, Samantha said that the assignment had made no mention of citing any such empirical evidence, and said she had clearly been discriminated against by the instructor due to her biblically informed beliefs.
(FWIW, the University of Oklahoma says they take potential violations of First Amendment rights seriously and that they are looking into the matter. In the meantime, the instructor has been placed on administrative leave.)
It is painfully obvious that the instructor was fully expecting the students to toe the woke line and heap glowing praise on the LGBT movement and ideology, and trash the traditional ideas of male and female and all the associated "stereotypes" attached to these crude, outdated notions.
But Samantha understands one thing:
We need to be faithful to the
Word of God, not the woke garbage.
You can read Samantha's two-page paper here, and I thought I'd share with you the closing sentence:
"My prayer for the world and specifically for American society and youth is that they would not believe the lies being spread from Satan that make them believe they are better off as another gender than what God made them. I pray that they feel God's love and acceptance as who He originally created them to be."
Can't say it any better—can't say it any straighter (no pun intended, but I'm thinking about putting it on a T-shirt).
Bravo, Samantha! I've got you down for an A+.

Want to attend classes at the University of California? Well, if you do, you'll have to pass a little test before being allowed to register. Oh, and you'll have to get a perfect score.
Here's a typical question from the test I'm referring to:
Q. My name is Mona and I am transgender. My classmate Jane continues to call me James, which was my name before I transitioned. Jane refers to me as a man, and complains when I use the women's restroom. I've asked her to stop, but she does not. I feel very disrespected and want this to stop. What type of prohibited conduct can this be?
a. sexual exploitation
b. relationship violence
c. quid pro quo
d. hostile environment
(Hint...hint...) If you answered "d. hostile environment" (and basically chose the same answer on all the other similar questions), congratulations! You are on your way to becoming a student at the vaunted University of California!
Welcome to SHAPE (Sexual Harassment, Anti-Discrimination, Prevention and Education), a model for mandated training for all students in the University of California system.
OK, I'm not gonna waste any more of your time...let's just come right out and call this what it is:
Mandatory pro-LGBT gender ideology training.
There it is, plain and simple. And Spencer Brown, Chief Communications Officer of Young America's Foundation, was spot on when he bluntly stated:
"The reality- and science-denying stooges at the University of California, San Diego have shredded their institution's ability to call itself a place of higher education by giving in to the radical left's gender ideology and endangering female students."
This is one of the monsters rearing its ugly head in America, and please understand one thing: That monster cares absolutely nothing about the safety and dignity of women, the moral compass of others who don't happen to be in line with the liberal left's perverted, gender-bending ideology, or the Word of a Creator God. They only care about one thing:
Forcing their perverted ideology down the
throats of everyone else, and persecuting
and eliminating all who deign to disagree.
And that perverted, gender-bending ideology is literally satanic, not to put too fine a point on it. Greg Burt, Vice President of California Family Council, was equally blunt and equally spot on:
"It is not sexual harassment to require students to use the restroom, locker room, or other facility that corresponds with their biological sex, but it is egregious to require female students to use bathrooms with biological men and force all students to agree that such a policy is normal or safe. When universities start treating disagreement as harassment, they stop being places of learning and become engines of indoctrination. Silencing biblical beliefs about gender and sexuality isn't tolerance. It's tyranny in disguise. [emphasis mine] [We] will not back down from defending students' right to speak truth in love."
Tyranny in disguise...and a thinly veiled disguise at that. And I say that because all that is required to strip that thinly veiled disguise clean off is to look at what God's Word has to say—and speak the truth in love.

A father-son duo of gunmen opened fire at Australia's Bondi Beach on Monday at an event called Hanukkah by the Sea, a public celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah held at the popular beach resort on Australia's east coast. At least 15 people were killed, ranging in age from 10 to 87, and several remain in critical condition in area hospitals.
One of the gunmen, the 50-year-old father, was shot and killed by police at the scene. His 24-year-old son was wounded and is currently hospitalized.
According to reports, there is clear evidence that the father and son—whose identities have not been released at the time of this writing—were associated with and influenced by ISIS and its murderous ideology. ISIS, which many in the West naively assume disappeared into the shadows, in fact continues to be responsible for one violent, mass-murder attack after another in various places around the world.
But what touches me most deeply pertains to how this attack ended.
A 43-year-old man who runs a local produce store just happened to be walking in the area, reportedly just out to get a cup of coffee. As he walked down the street, he witnessed the father shooting his rifle at what he, as a local resident, surely knew were Jewish people at the Hanukkah by the Sea celebration. In a flash, he saw an opportunity to do something.
And he had the raw courage to seize that opportunity.
What followed was captured on video: As the shooter aimed his rifle off in another direction, this man who was just out to get a cup o' joe suddenly shifted into hero mode. He ran toward the shooter, jumped him from behind, and in a matter of seconds successfully wrestled the rifle away from him and used it to hold him at bay until others arrived to assist.
The precise details of what followed the video are a bit unclear, but this gunman was ultimately shot and killed and the hero who disarmed him was wounded in the shoulder by the other shooter and is being treated at a local hospital.
I can't tell you how many Jewish lives this man's heroism saved—nor can I tell you how many times I have replayed that video. But there is one thing about this genuinely heroic man who saved the lives of heaven knows how many Jewish people that really got to me:
He's Muslim.
Meet Ahmed al-Ahmed: a Muslim man who bravely risked his life to save Jews.
Now, maybe I'm dreaming, but I hope that little gem manages to sink a few nanometers into the brains of a few of the moronic college students who are prancing around prestigious college campuses throughout America, sporting their silly Palestinian headdresses and spewing their ill-informed support of Hamas and hatred for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel.
I fear, however, that their brains may be too indoctrinated for that to happen.
So I'll probably just have to keep dreaming.
12/23/2025 — From the "No Illusions" Department...
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) recently returned from a trip to Israel where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and he has some bad news. Not surprising, mind you—just bad:
Hamas is not cooperating with Trump's peace plan!
Oh, the shock and horror of it all! According to Graham:
"What did I learn on this trip? That Hamas is not disarming. They're rearming. Hamas is not abandoning power. They're consolidating power...That's what the military intelligence people in Israel tell me. That's what the IDF told me. That's what our own people told me."
Trump and his team have been trying to push forward with his Gaza peace plan, and during its first phase Hamas was supposed to—among other things—disarm. In the second phase, they are supposed to turn control of Gaza over to an international Board of Peace, which is intended to be overseen by both the United States and certain of its Arab allies.
But progress has been herky-jerky at best because Hamas shows no signs of going along with the terms of the deal they signed. They are showing no signs of disarming. They are showing no signs of willingness to turn control of Gaza over to Trump's Board of Peace, whatever form it may take.
So the peace deal isn't looking so peaceful. Graham also stated what is becoming increasingly obvious:
"The one thing I want people to understand from this program today is that there is no pathway forward to peace as long as Hamas has their arms and they intend to stay in power...They're doing both...And I think it's going to come down to Israel to do that unless there's a changing event on the ground."
In other words, maybe Israel will have to send its military back in to force the issue, and before you know it things could be back to square one: Israel back at war with Hamas, with big, bad Israel being condemned as the occupying aggressor and poor Hamas being hailed as the poor, oppressed victim of Zionist aggression...boo hoo.
It strikes me that people who assume Trump's peace plan will somehow succeed and lead to some species of regional peace in the Middle East are going to be in for a disappointment. This whole thing can be frustrating, but it helps to dig a bit deeper and consider things from a scriptural standpoint.
We should understand that Trump's efforts, as grand and well-intentioned as they are, will not bring peace to the Middle East. The world is barreling toward a period of time when there will be no peace, and the current machinations in the Middle East give ample testimony to this. That's because the stage is being set for the Tribulation, and Trump is simply playing the role God has ordained for him to play.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I may support Trump, but I have no illusions about him being the global peacemaker he sees himself as. And that's not his fault—he's just doing what God has given him to do.
That's all any of us can do. As a matter of fact...
Doing what God has given us to do
is the best that any of us can do.
12/30/2025 — From the "Journalistic Integrity" Department...
As I discussed in my Commentary entry on December 16, on December 14 two armed men—a father and his son—opened fire at a public celebration of Hanukkah at Bondi Beach in New South Wales, Australia. A total of 15 people were killed and over 40 were wounded.
First of all, note the facts of the situation:
The event was advertised as and publicly known to be a celebration of a Jewish holiday for Jewish people. The two gunmen were Muslim and known to be influenced by radical Muslim group ISIS, which loathes and is dedicated to the eradication of the Jewish people.
These are not alt-right political opinions. These are not conspiracy theories.
These are established facts, clear and simple.
Enter veteran Australian journalist Laura Tingle of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
In the ABC podcast "Politics Now," Tingle was discussing the attack with host Patricia Karvelas, and Tingle—this veteran journalist—stated with her unique brand of journalistic integrity that...
(The attack) "had nothing to do with religion."
This veteran journalist actually said that. It's not a misquote. You can hear her say it with your own ears in the following clip at the 4:50 mark.
To their credit, others in the Australian media came out swinging, calling out and excoriating Tingle for her remark that was inexplicably detached from any species of journalistic integrity, as well as being cruelly insensitive.
Sky News host Chris Kenny said Tingle and the ABC "ought to be ashamed of themselves," and went on to say:
"Laura Tingle's Jihad denialism is typical of the way the ABC and many members of the political class averted their eyes from Islamist extremism for many years. This country is failing to combat antisemitism and Islamist extremism because politicians refuse to address it head on. Even when 15 innocent people are murdered, they still deny reality. It is as reprehensible as it is tragic for our country."
Amen. Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson said:
"Laura Tingle's comments are deeply offensive and grossly irresponsible. Too many times, the ABC has failed its strict obligation to report news and current affairs without bias which is what drove my attempts to establish a Senate inquiry into the ABC."
In a vain attempt to defend their jaded journalist, an ABC spokeswoman "clarified" what Tingle was really trying to do in her analysis:
"The conversation on the podcast concerned terrorism and radicalisation and the comment was about separating religion from radicalisation."
Oh, so that was the idea: separating religion from radicalization.
OK, I'm no journalist, so all I can do is point out what should be obvious to most average people:
Attempting to separate religion from radicalization is delusional when the religion in question brazenly promotes, conducts, fosters, celebrates, swims in, and is universally identified with precisely such radicalization.
Ah, but not to worry, Ms. Tingle. This interview you did for "Politics Now" may have crashed and burned and gotten you in some well-deserved hot water, but I've managed to get hold of something else that might be of interest to a journalist of your stature:
Former U.S. President Barack Obama is actually an alien from the Pleiades, and is preparing to rise to a position global leadership to save mankind from destruction.
I picked this up from a source with a level of journalistic integrity that I dare say rivals your own.
